The wolf nodded and then looked up, pointing it's muzzle at a small cave in the hillside. He started climbing up and into it.
Endom looked at Rusty then kept moving to get to the cave.

Endom walked his friend over to the ledge and sat him down.

The brown wolf walked over and checked the paw, prodding it with his own paws gently, sniffing it and looking at it all around. He was as silent as a shadow.
Endom watched, twitching his tail anxiously.

"As expected with an injury like this." Noradj said, going to a different shelf and selecting some things. He came back and set them on the ledge Rusty was on. There were sharp reeds, herbs, wide leaves for bandaging, all kinds of things.

Noradj stabbed the paw with the sharp tip and pulled it out, drawing blood and puss alike. He took another reed and stabbed the other side of the paw, getting the same response.

Noradj finished draining the paw, and it looked a lot better, unswollen. He then made an herb paste in a hollow piece of wood and spread it over the injuries made by the reeds, then bound it with leaves and spare paste, making a solid cast. "That should be fine in a few days. You should stay here awhile and rest." He said, tying the cast with ivy stems.
Endom looked around, seeing the older wolf had plenty of meat in stock.

Rusty winced but was able to feel that his paw felt a lot better it wasn't as conjested any more. He smiled a bit at the cooling sensation of the herb paste that Noradj put on his wound.
