Ruger shook his head sadly and sighed. He said while looking at Calico "A female shouldn't have to learn how to do that in an early age. Me, myself, had to learn how to live on my own since birth because my birth was a secret only a few exceptions knew about. Not even your father knew of my birth. And I lived up north of here and rarely seen my parents because they didn't want to put me at risk. But when I was older, I came back. Then a month later, I am here with the best mate a dog could ask for."

Ruger looked down and said "I didn't say that you are, Calico. I just don't think that was best. I would have never left my young daughter to fend for herself. It's evil and cruel. And I dislike it." He touched her nose with his and said "I love you, Calico."
