Rick hopped on after her and shook the reins. "YAH"! The horse neighed and galloped at top speed to the river.

*Neeeigh!!!* The horse pulled up and stopped, almost throwing the riders off.

"Sheeze, Steleto! What's wro..... Uh oh". Ricky stiffend. He looked down, and there it was! A western diamondback rattlesnake!

"Uh, not if we stay on the horse, no." Rick tugged and shook Steleto's reins, but no matter what he did the horse just would not budge.

The snake reared it's head to strike.

"Stay on, Shay"! Rick comanded and jumpped off. He quickly grabbed a fallen branch and lifted the snake up, but before he could put it aside the rattler struck and bit down on Ricky's forearm. "AH"! Rick threw the snake and stummbled back.
