Mako laughed evilly at that. "Eat up, the main course comes in the ring tonight.

"It's true." Bashkei chuckled. Just from looking at the young hybrid, he could tell the pup's strengths...and his weaknesses...He certainly was not forgotten, with such a big reminder.
"Well," Katie sighed softly, and looked at Aniu. "If you can come here...can't anyone else? Or is it just you?"
Mammoth growled, and barked-which, sounded much more like a roar coming form his throat, tearing at the flesh, fur bristled and eyes mad.

Bashkei became quiet, looking in the other direction. "Aniu and I got along well...she was in Grandma Lenatei's pack, and they came down together. It's funny, she had a little crush on me." he chuckled.
"You...you can?" Katie asked, suddenly looking more alert. "I've...I've wanted to see her for so long."

Aniu nodded. "Yes." she said. "I can, though only because you need help so much at the moment." she said. Her eyes glowed and snow started whiping around.

OOC: Well, Lenatei is sweet and kind. She doesn't like to be harsh, but she will be if necessary. She's a good mother, and very proud. Along those lines. Lenatei is also very...how you could put, naive at some subjects. Again, along that line.
Bashkei laughed. In his pack, telling stories was tradition, and had told Katie many stories in her youth. "Your Grandma and I were betrothed. We had no choice but to be mates. It was to help form an alliance between the mountain wolves and the forest wolves. She really didn't like me at all, in fact, seemed to want to avoid me. So, she brought along Aniu to keep her busy...turned out she started liking me rather than Lenatei liking me." the big wolf laughed once more, looking down at little Cachen.
After a moment, Katie unshielded her eyes and watched, looking into the swirling snow...and began to see the figure that was taking shape.

Lenatei appeared out of the snow. "Katie...its me...if your mother." she said, smiling at her daughter, being she'd been in Heaven, she had a halo over her head.

"I hope so!" Bashkei grinned wide, laughing. Cachen was very much like Katie when she was young; bubbly, energetic, curious. He saw how well these pups had been raised. "But yes...we fell very much so...hard. We would have had eight pups, and you would have an ever larger family. However, your Grandmother strained herself, and your mother was the pup that survived." the pain of remembering his lost children...it tore at Bashkei to no end.
Katie backed up a moment, shocked. "Ma-Mama...?" she asked warily, tears forming in her eyes.

Cachen whimpered. "I'm sorry grandpa but they're all up in Heaven, I know they'd have to be."
"Yes honey, it's me." said Lenatei. She was able to touch her daughter, being more like an angel than a Spirit Guide, there was a diffrence. "I've been up in Heaven, with your brothers and sisters." she said. "I've always been watching down on you." she said. "Bashkei may not of approved of your mating with Kodi but I did from the start, amazing how you can think things out when you're in a place without suffering."

"At least I still have your Momma." Bashkei smiled softly. He did miss his children. He would see them again.
Tears fell freely down Katie's face. She had missed looking at her Mother, wondering how she'd grow up. "I've missed you, Mama...so has Papa." thinking on her earlier conversation with Aniu, she began sobbing. She remembered how Lenatei had died, on Katie's behalf!

Bashkei smiled back. "Then you and I will see her together, okay?" he asked, trying to be as cheerful as possible.
Katie hugged her Mother back, eyes still flowing with tears. "Oh Mama...After so long...I was so little." her eyes turned cold and she uttered one name; "Mako."
