Kirby walked out of Nome and into the wilderness, not really caring if nobody followed. He walked for what seemed like hours when his paw kicked something furry in the snow, he dusted the snow off and saw Ralph laying there motionless. Kirby was speechless, and he felt like exploding on the spot. Kirby ran off, across the icy Alaskan tundra, he was once on the best mail team in Nome and he ran as the secong lead dog along-side Kodi, with Ralph right behind him. Kirby outran Raven and Bolt easily, he didn`t want anyone to find him, he thought it would be better off if he got lost, if he were to go away, if he were to die.

Kirby stopped. He calmed down and he howled back to her saying that he had calmed down and was willing to go back.

Kirby shook the snow off of his brown pelt. But more attached themselves to him, a storm was coming, Kirby could smell it. But he was too lost in thought to even budge. The storm came fast, the wind picked up and the snow fell heavily, Kirby was starting to turn white from all the snowflakes. He shook the snowflakes off of his brown pelt but thousands more drifted onto him. Kirby wandered for hours, the storm wa so bad he couldn`t even see hs paws. He was cold, tired, and hungry. Kirby searched long and hard for Nome, but the storm was terrible, he could barely see. Finally, the familiar scent of Nome drew near. He saw the faint glowing lights from the houses. He finally entered Nome and found shelter under some crates in a narrow alley.

Kirby nodded and moved over for Raven, he shivered as his breath became visible in the cold night.

Kirby shivered and then said. "W-w-wait h-h-here." He left the crates but returned with two blankets. "T-t-these were all I c-c-c-could f-f-find." He stammered. "he draped one over Raven and then he lay under his. It wasn`t much, but it was warmer.

"I saw Ralph, dead in the snow, I didn`t see Kodi there though.'' Replied Kirby. The storm started to die down and soon there were only gentle snowflakes drifting to the ground.

'I wonder if she loves me, I love her, but would she love me back if I told her?' Thought Kirby as he felt Raven nuzzle him, he decided not to tell her just yet, so he got out of the crates and started to walk out of the alley slowly, wondering if anybody had seen them together.
