Varazi snarled at the men and then dived down the hole, wriggling his body and kicking his back legs to crawl through. The men were yelling and poking sticks down the hole, but Varazi was already quite far through. His head came out the other side, quickly followed by the rest of him, and he started off towards the forest. 'Come on' he yelled to Wolfer, 'they can still dart you through the fence, the forest is the safest place.'

Wolfer just nodded followed Varazi to the forest. He was running at his maximum speed, even though his legs hurt because they were scratched multiple times by the fence when he crawled to the hole.

Wolfer continued following Varazi, both of them weren't showing any sign of slowing down. It was because escape meant so much to them, it seemed. After about 10 minutes of non-stop running Wolfer saw an endless amount of trees in front of him. He turned to Varazi and said as he continued to run. "Have you ever been to this place?"

Jacob squeezed through teh hole. It was a tough fit but he made it. He bounded to the group but stayed at teh back, nudging any who needed help. "Come on, guys, almost there! Almost free!" he murmured, half to himself.

Varazi didn't turn to look at Wolfer, but said 'no never, we were never let out of that place, we didnt even see where we were going when we first arrived.' He could see Roxie just ahead with the others, and he heard Jacob behind him with the straglers. He pulled up beside Roxie, slowing to a trot before stopping completely.

Wolfer followed Varazi untill they reached the other dogs. He also came near to Roxie, to her right side and asked "Are all dogs accounted for? Or were some caught?" He sniffed the air. The humans weren't following them. He yawned. He was getting tired. We better hurry and hide deep in the woods so I can get some sleep, this escape thing has taken it's toll. But the only thing that really mattered to him was his freedom now. He was free to do anything he wanted, to try and find another owner. But then he shook his head at that thought. He was still imprisoned in some way. His sense of honor didn't allow him to leave the dogs who helped free him. He owed them his life. And he was going to stay with them until he wares out his welcome.

Varaz nodded, and started herding a group of younger dogs deeper into the forest. He left them under a huge oak tree and told them to stay put until the others got there, and then went back to Roxie. 'Should I take the pups, the older dogs can look after themselves a bit better, but I can find a spot to sleep' he said, his voice without emotion.

Jiko ran until he reached on cave in the forest. He stopped. "I think we should stop running. The lab is quite far, I don't think that humans could reach this cave too... So, do you mind If I rest here? I'am tired." He said, and entered the little cave. Jiko was quite big for an Australian shepherd, but he managed to enter the small cave, it looked more like a small den. Then, he felt pain, and he saw an angry mother badger with few small children. "Uh, I should search for a better cave," He said.
