Xinal followed Daiku along the path. He glanced at Vixen sympathetically, "Hey at least you're not dead yet." He smiled trying to raise her spirits even in the midst of an atmosphere so thick with tension.

Granger paused his pack above a crest looking down. They seemed to have relocated their camp... He thought, Dog-gone-it Xinal! Giving me the wrong information. He glanced around trying to pinpoint where it is. Most probably they were concealed somewhere. But where exactly?

[[OOC: Um... so the battle is supposed to start? But I don't even know where the Water Wolves are[at their camp? waiting on the battlefield?] lol]]

"Yet," Vixen hissed at Xinal, quite irritably. Although she did care for her friend and was glad he was just as caring, she was brought up not to accept sympathy. Realizing she probably hurt him, Vixen quickly looked up to meet his gaze with blue eyes. "Sorry..."

((ooc// Yep The ground wolves will know

BIC// " Hey! enough talk, we can talk after this is over, if it ever ends..." He knew that both races we're very powerful, but could they last? "even with reinforcements, i still don't know if they'll be strong enough."

ooc// from here on out you guys probably wont see me for some time due to school and all this new stuff going on over here, maybe an occasional post til i can work things out.

BIC// Kyluka was already set up for the assualt to come, her forces had mobilized and she ran to Daiku when she saw them aproached. "Daiku! I missed you." She gave her pup affectionat nuzzles and licks before Daiku got away reluctantly,

"Aw, come'on mom, your embarassing me." She nodded and they immdiatly got to work on putting the new recruits in there spots, "This wont be pretty you know." Kyluka nodded

"yes my son, i know this to be true. Everyone ready!" She looked out over the horizon, there worst fears had come, they we're comming.

Xinal flinched at her words, his ears flattened against his head. After a few moments he stepped forward. "It's alright." He sighed, giving her an friendly nudge on her shoulder.

Granger ordered his pack forward moving down the hill. His eyes having spotted the gathered pack of the Water Wolves, he howled calling everyone to a halt. When he looked down his eyes gleamed with fire and his teeth bared. The sky clearing allowing sunlight to flood on them now, foreshadowing the battle soon to happen.

Sighing, Vixen kept walking forward. What if we all die today? But that wasn't her true fears. If they lived and won, she wondered if her friends would not need her any more. She had killed the alphas of her pack in cold blood, certainly they only pretended to trust her for now? Vixen smirked while thinking back on when she was hired for the job.

"You know what to do, and remember to keep it clean. I'm letting your sisters live for this!" A voice growled from the shadows.

Standing in the small specks of sunlight, a younger but still dangerous Vixen nodded in agreement. "As long as you can cure them, I will do whatever it takes."

But Vixen slipped up the first time, and wasn't able to do it. So when she went to see the wolf again, he had killed her sisters already in frustration.

That's when Vixen went out of control and took it all out on the Alphas of her pack, they were the ones who had made her sisters stay on watch in the bloody cold weather, and then let them get horrible sick. It only seemed right to kill the leaders at the time.

Vixen flicked her tail and snapped out of her gaze, waiting for the battle that was to come.

Xinal glanced up as the Ground Wolves silhouttes rose up over the crest of the hill. He felt slow tremors from the ground beneath his paws. This is going to get nasty He built up his charge ready and waiting for the first signs of movement. Xinal lifted his paws to his attack stance, bright blue sparks crackled as his paws came into contact with the shaking ground

Granger noticed a faint flash of light and spotted Xinal. Lightning... also known as heaven's wrath in some stories. He thought to himself assessing the situation. He's most probably expecting all of us to go down at the same time. Amusement gleamed in his eyes before raising his head to bark at his comrades.

"BETA GROUP, MOVE FORWARD! Keep your head down, body at hunting height. Don't leap into the air or stick to the ground." Some of the Beta Wolves glanced at him questioningly. "If you don't, I'll personally drown you all right now where you're standing!" Granger growled once more which made all the beta class wolves to head down as instructed. And as Granger watched, he saw what he expected.

Xinal saw the first wave and launched an arching static blast coming from him. Though static electricity coursed through the ground and leapt into the air as they sped towards the Beta Ground Wolves. One of them got intimidated and crouched even lower as he saw some sparks fly through the air. Instantly the static in the ground gathered to his crouching body. With a shriek and whine one Beta was down. The rest however, counting around 7, followed the instruction and received only minimal shock from the ground where their paws made contact. And so, with renewed confidence and boosted morale they ran onward, with the sparks just helplessly flying over their heads. Their silhouttes still at a distance of around 700 yards.

"Dog-gone-it!" Xinal shook his head before charging up once more. "Here they come."


((OOC: I hope you guys don't mind that I started the offensive. ^^; I didn't know what else to put.))

Narrowing her dark blue eyes to slits, they slowly began to change into a fiery amber while the ground under her paws glowed red. Pulling a paw up into the air, Vixen threw it down and slammed it to the ground, suddenly the red color of earth making a line, spreading towards the Beta Group. A slow grim smile crossed Vixen's face; what was about to happen to these wolves would not be good.

She sank her claws into the ground and then pulled her other paw into the air, slamming it down as well. Suddenly a loud crack split the air, and right infront of the beta group, the earth split.

Something red started heading towards the surface, and the ground burned their paws if they hadn't run yet. Then a fiery substance instantly spewed from the crack in the ground, going all the way down to the end of the line, making some sort of shield.

But what goes up, must come down...

Lava immediately fell over the wolves.

The beta wolves felt the ground beneath them heat up rapidly. They glanced down and leaped away moments before the ground crackled and cracked in two. The lead Beta wolf looked up to see the quick lava shield spew in front of them. That however wasn't on his mind. He quickly slammed his body to the ground sending six pillars around the beta wolves and making them meet at a center point above them. He nodded to his comrade who was in charge of defense. The Beta Guard nodded before howling. And alongside his head movement, the ground separating the pillars rose following their contour creating a shield above them, just as the rain of lava was starting to fall.

Granger looked down at the Beta Wolves, "I'll give them thirty seconds, if not I'll send the Omegas." He whispered to himself.

Vixen narrowed her eyes even more, suddenly her amber eyes turning a blood chilling red, a color they've never turned before. The wolfess dug her claws into the ground, and a groaning in the earth split the air.

Lava suddenly burst through the earth infront of the pillars, but then it went back down into the ground.

Vixen smiled smugly as the lava went under the pillar, and the ground opened beneath the betas, lava going over them while their own earth shield had trapped them.

The earth shield suddenly burst open as the Beta Wolves tried to leap out of the way of the lava, with a burst fo hot air three of them leaped out. The others were burned as the lava lapped at their paws and they whined and howled in pain. The Beta Leader looked back at his unit trapped by the lava and knocked a boulder lose of the ground and hit his own unit, allowing them to get knocked off the lava. They landed a few wolf's lengths away gasping in pain, their paws burnt the color of night. The Beta Wolf howled his call for backup.

Granger heard this call and howled in reply, sending the Omega Unit down the slope. A section of the unit stayed behind. In fact they went down the opposite end while Granger kept his eyes locked on the battlefield scanning it for that wolfess.

BIC// Daiku watched the battle unfold and waited for the signal, at that moment, a howl rang out and the entire water wolf army leaped foreward torwards Grangers troops, Kyluka ahead of them and Daiku soaring above her,

"Daiku, give us a firewall!!" With that command Daiku flew between the omega and Beta squads and created a searing inferno between them with a single sweep of flaming wings.

"Take attack formations! keep it tight!" At her commands the water wolves held tight formations and attacked as teams. it was seeming easy, to easy.

Curling her lip, Vixen lifted her blood-red gaze to meet Granger's, eyes full of clear hatred and anger.

(lol sorry, another darn writer's block..I wrote a story last night, so I'm poured out)

The Beta Leader howled and lead his remaining formation through the firewall with a blast of earth to form up with the Omega wolves. After the reforming they leaped up as a group using the earth the catapult them. They landed in front of the water wolf pack their teeth bared.

Granger glared down into the battlefield and spotted Kyluka leading the water wolves, his bared his teeth wanting to leap down and rip the life out of her. He held back however. His plan would be foiled if he and his Alpha unit went down now. He must wait for the Cavalry, which should arrive any second now.

Xinal leapt forward with the other Water wolves. Careening across the battlefield watching Daiku produce the firewall. He took a quick glance to acertain the situation. "Wait, a minute." He barked as he took into account how many Beta And Omega Wolves there were. Even after Vixen's initial strike which took out a lot of Beta wolves there should be a lot more wolves than this. Then suddenly one of Granger's plans popped into his head. "Daiku! Water Wolf Alpha! We need some unit s to guard the rear-"

Xinal was interrupted by a shower of earth and tremors from behind him. He whipped around and saw the remaining Omega and Beta Wolves unearth themselves from an underground tunnel. "Where's the Wind Wolves?" He whined to himself.

((OOC: BoundbyBlood, do you want to control the windwolves?))

Vixen whipped around with a snarl on her face, eyes narrowed at the beta and omega patrols heading towards them. Lunging, the beautiful but powerful wolfess lunged down and raced at the patrols.

As if on cue, a wave of Wind Wolves followed, suprisingly not of their own accord. The leader of the Wind Wolves watched on, having sent a few to help Vixen for the time being. Maybe in this battle she can redeem herself, perhaps...Maybe I won't kill her, he thought to himself.
