Kira sniffed around a little bit more before she finally found a fresh scent. Midnight! She then howled loudly for all to hear, suddenly bursting into a run. Don't worry, she thought, we're coming. Just hold on!

Flower heard a howl and running paws. "Kira!" she said in surprise as the wolf rounded a bend toward her.
"That was Kira!" Mara announced. "She found my dad's scent!" Filled with exictement, she ran from the den toward the place she heard the howl.

Kira passed Flower, but she just kept on running, just knowing that Midnight was in deep trouble. She then jumped over a few rocks before she saw a wolf-like firgure hanging on a cliff. "Midnight!" she cried out. "Hold on!" She then bounded towards the troubled Alpha, her heart suddenly racing with the tension and suspence.

Mara heard her mother's scream. "They've found him!" She raced up the path without a second thought.

Surf thought about it but looked up. "Oh no! Look!" she yelped, pointing to Midnight hanging from the cliff, following Mara.

Kira ran over to Midnight's side and grabbed him by the scruff, straining to pull him up. "I got'cha," she said to him. "I got'cha!"

Flower could only watch. She knew was useless in this situation.
"Daddy!" Mara ran over to help Kira pull Midnight up.
Midnight tried to help the wolves by climbing the cliff's edge with his claws, but he just kept slipping donw again. He wasn't moving an inch. He reached out toward Wanderer's paw. He was just inches away when he slipped farther down the mountain and out of Mara's adn Surf's reach, but Kira had a firm hold on him.

Oh what do I do! thought Surf, she looked around for something to use. She found a long vine. She grabbed it and toos one end down to Middnight. "Bite it!" she yelled. "Help me Wanderer please."

Midnight took the vine in his mouth.
Mara grabbed part of the vine and helped Surf and Wanderer pull Midnight up.

Kira started slipping down as well, but she kept her hold on him as she tried her hardest to pull him up. What if I can't kepp this up? she suddenly thought, slightly looking over the cliff. Then that'll mean...

Midnight was slowly being pulled up. The vine helped. But just as he thought it was going to be alright, the vine snapped. He slipped out if Kira's grasp and fell to the forest floor below.
"No!" Flower collapsed in tears.
Mara flew back from the strength of pulling the vine. "Daddy!"

Yunfly ran to see if he was ok. When she saw he had fallen, she began to cry.
