Shane awoke when the car stopped moving, and he rubbed his tired eyes.
Tara was still fast asleep on Chase's lap.
Carmen got out of the car and went around to Damien and Kyler's window, then opened it abruptly.

Carmen opened (or picked up and held) the door to the bunkhouse so everyone else could enter.

Carmen climbed up to her bed, then motioned for Zacky and Shane to come inside. "The empty bed's right over there." she told them, waving her hand in the direction.
