"Zasshu, who do you think that was?" Cheyanne asked.

"Well... it sounds a tad bit farther off than Bear and his pack was back during our rivalry standoff... so I'm not too worried about it. But I'll look more into it just to be safe, so don't worry Cheyanne."

"I'm not worried about me, Zasshu. I'm worried about you and the sakeof our pups." Cheyanne said as she walked out and watched the pack look in all directions.

Zasshu followed her and announced to the pack. "There is nothing to worry about, my brothers and sister and I will go out and investigate."

"Markus, Shinso, Rukii." Zasshu called out. "Come. We are to set out to determine the source of the unknown howling."

Markus, Shinso, and Rukii all nodded and headed out of the den, while Zasshu walked up to Cheyanne and nuzzled her neck quickly before leaving with his siblings.

"Don't worry Cheyanne, I will take care of this." Zasshu said softly, licking Cheyanne's cheek, then ran off out of the den to join his siblings in the search investigation.

Cheyanne asked Jack to watch the pups for a while. "Zasshu wait!" Cheyanne yelled." I'm coming with you. I'm not going to risk you getting hurt." Cheyanne added. : He'll probably think or say the same to me : Cheyanne thought to herself, then continued. "I don't want to loose you. I already thought I did once, I'm not going to risk it. Not this time." Cheyanne said as a howl came cross the land after she stopped, which pierced the silence.

"Cheyanne..." Zasshu sighed. "Even if you do come along, the chances of me getting hurt would still be the same as the chances of my siblings or you getting hurt..."

Their son, Zach, then stepped between them and faced his dad, Zasshu.

"Dad, mom's right. You're the alpha male of this pack, and if we lost you, then the whole pack would fall apart without their leader. But more importantly, you're my dad, and I refuse to lose you." Zach turns to face Cheyanne. "Mom, you can stay with all my siblings. I'll go with Dad. Is that alright?"

"Zach, I don't want to loose you either." Cheyanne said looking at Zasshu, then back at Zach. "Well, alright. This will improve your chances of becoming the new Alpha male of the pack, too. You can go. But I'm sending my father with you guys as'well." Cheyanne said nuzzling both Zasshu, and Zach

Zasshu smiled, licking his mate's cheek lovingly, and nuzzling their son on the head.

"Son, I'm proud of you. And Cheyanne, I promise I won't let anything happen to Zach."

Cheyanne smiled. "I love and trust you both. Good luck. " Cheyanne said licking Zasshu and Zach.

Zasshu, Zach, Jack, Markus, Shinso, and Rukii then all ran off out of the den and into the woods to locate the mysterious howl, while the rest of the pack stayed behind to guard the den.

Cheyanne waited for Zasshu, his siblings, Zach, and Jack for their return. Cheyanne let out a howl to let them know how far they wandered off, and nothing has happened since they left.

Markus howled back to let Cheyanne and the pack know that they were out as far as the territory borderline and that they had found Bear and what was left of his pack again, and tells Cheyanne that Zasshu is currently trying to make a private alpha-to-alpha agreement with Bear as to call a truce.

Shinso then howls after Markus, adding that they need backup because things are starting to get out of hand as Bear is getting more and more aggressive with Zasshu. Rukii as well howls and informs Cheyanne that her son Zach is on his way back to the den.

Just then, as if on cue, Zach bursts into the den as quick as he can and runs up to Cheyanne, panting just a bit to try and catch his breath.

"Mom! Dad's in trouble! Bear's pack is still out there, and this whole time he and his pack were planning a second attack on us to take over our land! Dad's trying to call a truce with Bear but Bear won't listen and he keeps threatening to attack Dad himself and send his pack up here to fight us and take over! We gotta hurry, Dad needs help! We gotta stop Bear and his pack before they try to come attack us all!"

Cheyanne let out a growl. "God *****!" Cheyanne yelled, then calling her pups."Kids, whatever you do DON'T go outside. I'll be back." "I need all the Alphas to come with me, Bear is back. We must defend our territory, and our land." Cheyanne said as they all headed out."I need the betas to come with me, and all of the omegas to watch the den, and my kids!" She said , then commanding the pack to move out.

Back at the territory border, Zasshu continued to try to calmly negotiate with Bear.

"No! I refuse to leave!" Bear growled at Zasshu. "My pack and I have been searching far and wide for a new home ever since our last home had fallen into famine, and we had to cross the Great Water. I promised my father, the great Nava, that I would carry on in his place and find the pack a new home. And now that I've found a new land to call ours, you invade our land and claim that it is yours when WE found it first! It is YOU who must leave!"

"For the last time," Zasshu countered, trying to remain patient. "this has been MY pack's land for many summers and winters, since long before you even arrived here. We are the rightful owners of this land, and I cannot be any clearer than that."

"ENOUGH!" Bear snarled, glaring menacingly at Zasshu. "I will NOT leave, and that is FINAL! If you really want this land, then you have to FIGHT ME for it!"

Bear then lunged at Zasshu, raking his claws down Zasshu's back, and the two then began fighting one on one while the rest of Bear's pack went in to attack Markus, Shinso, Rukii, and Jack.

Cheyanne arrived just in time with her son, and the pack. "Zasshu!" Cheyanne yelled as she lunged at Bear, grabbing his scruff and brutally tossing him hard to the ground. Bear, not knowing she yelled Zasshu's name, didn't realize that she was a girl." Get outta my way, you half whitted male." He growled. "I ain't no boy, you sissy." She said as her pack fought the other wolves attacking Zasshu's brothers and sister. "You're a girl? Well, that explains why I I'm not hurt." Bear said laughing. Then Bear noticed Cheyanne's other pups. They had not listened to thier mom. "What are you doing here kids?" Cheyanne asked them." We came to help."Carla pitched in.

"Well, looks like I get my dinner early." He said walking and snarling at Cheyanne's pups. Cheyanne let out a blood curdling snarl at him. It was louder than her sister's snarl when she was infected with rabies. Cheyanne's snarl even echoed through valleys." You hurt my pups, my pack or my mate. Your pack will wake up finding their alpha's head, in his stomach. And I mean it." Cheyanne's muscles were tense. "Eyyah right." Bear scoffed. "If I'm gonna die from a little white fox, why don't I get a couple rounds with the white fox first, eh?" Bear said then continued, "C'mon. Bite me. I know you can't. "He said laughing, then running pulling Zasshu's sister to the ground and snarling at a couple wolves in his pack too hold off Zasshu. Then, Bear grabbed Zach and tossed him down. Cheyanne snarled even louder. She lunged at him, and locked her jaws on his head, making wounds that bled. She pushed harder and harder. Bear fell, the spoke. "You can't hurt me, fox." Then, Cheyanne grabbed his head once more, and pushed. He died, with his skull crushed. "Who's next?" Cheyanne growled.
