Ian grunted irritably, and rolled onto his side, with his back facing Kat.
"I'll get it out of you." He grumbled.

"I was just wondering that if you weren't assigned to kill me, and if we'd have ever met at some other place and time...If we'd ever be...more than...partners.." Kat said quickly, turning her back to Ian and huffing.

Ian stilled and turned to watch Kat.
"I don't know.." He replied almost silently.

"It was just a stupid thought.." Kat grimaced, sitting up, humiliated.

"Well you're attracted to me so i don't think it was that stupid." Ian huffed back, a bit annoyed as he sat up. "Why would you even like me?"

Kat looked at him sheepishly, "Because...The more I look at you...I realize that you and I are the same. And..I see past your...walls.." Kat tried to explain. She frowned and turned away again, "It doesn't matter dude, jeeze'." She huffed.

Ian watched Kat a little longer, before moving closer. He got to his knees and pulled Kat up by her arm, but surprisingly soft. He brought their lips together in a soft lazy kiss that lasted only a few moments. Ian pulled away with a quirky smile.
"We're not alike."

Kat shook out of both terror and a warm feeling in the pit of her stomach. She looked at Ian after the kiss and scowled, "We're exactly alike, you just don't want to admit it." She grumbled, trying to hide her deep blush.

Ian grunted, laying back down.
"In your mind. In mine..we are very different." He said softly.

Kat lay back down, also. "Oh yeah? How so?" She asked, looking over at him.

"Well. You're not able to kill someone, for starters. You have toomuch of a heart, therefore your feelings would get in the way." Ian explained boredly. "You are weak and I am strong."

Kat rolled her eyes, "I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the inner parts. For example, we've both lost our family. We both get extremely stressed over small things. We both are slightly insane. And we're both...Sad...I've seen it in your face Ian.." Kat said easily.

"I'm not sad." Ian snapped abruptly, hating it when people read him. He normally kept his emotions hidden away, but the walls crumbled around Kat and he hated it. What was wrong with him?

Kat smiled a little, seeing as he'd gone ridged, "Yes you are. And it's okay to...not be okay." She said, trying to make him feel better.
