She shook her head. "Not one bit." she answered. She sat up and watched the herds come and drink and move on. This was beautiful, in the light of the sun, everything seemed to gain a golden glow. If I could relive my life, I'd live it exactly the way it is. she thought to herself, with a small purr of satisfaction.

"The sun up there, the water sparkling, the animals so peaceful, yes it is truly a beautiful day." Sauda said, looking at Alonzo. She got up and went down to have a drink.

"Today, yes." she said. "I think its just this summer heat." Sauda bent down and lapped the water. It was cold, and warmed by the sen. She felt as if she was drinking the sunlight itself.

"Yeah, but somehow, I feel like a lap of cold water." she grinned, and butted her mate playfully.

"I meant to do that." she pointed out through her laughter.

Sauda pulled herself out of the water and shook herself, spraying drops everywhere. She cast a glance at Alonzo and pushed his head into the water and then ran onto the plains, looking to see if he followed her.

Sauda ran but he caught up with her and the two tumbled down a hill, and ended up with Alonzo on top of Sauda. While he was still recovering from his laugh, she pulled down his face and licked his cheek.
