Gilbert began to climb out the window but the main roof took a sudden lurch and part of it caved in. He felt the floorboards beneath his feet creak, and he stepped back in, knowing the platform Roderich was on would cave with the weight of him too. He felt tears running down his cheeks, and he looked at the ceiling, which now had flames on it as well.
"Well i guess we should just get it over with, eh?" He muttered to himself, before the whole roof caved in.

((He's not gonna die but he's gonna have to be in the hospital for a while because of how burned his skin is.))

Roderich screamed when the roof came in and fire and blew everywhere while some hot ashes land on him and buring his skin some.
"GILBERT!!" he yelled then fell into a fit of coughs and tried to move to the window but yelped when hands grabbed him. He turned seeing the fire men there on a ladder trying to get him down. "No! Someones still in there!! Please help him..." he said breaking down into tears while they nodded and pulled him towards the latter. "No.. I need to go back," he cried and coughed while almost blacking out.

The next day..

Gilbert lay on a white hospital bed, fully unconcious. The doctors said he should wake up soon..but he hadn't moved or shown any sign of it yet. His arms were wrapped with white bandages, as was his chest and legs, but surprisingly his face and neck didn't have much damage. His snow white hair was now greyer, and a bit shorter, since the fire singed off some of it.

Roderich waited patently waited outside Gilbert's room, while waiting for the doctors to let him in. He sighed shakily hoping he was okay. Roderich ended up being takes to the hostibital too but he only ended up with one broke wrist and a few bad burns. But it must have been nothing compared to Gilbert. He did end up getting alot of smoke in his lungs and had been recovering with alot of coughing. Roderich blinked when ge saw the doctor open the door and nod. Roderich quickly walked in. When he saw Gilbert he stopped on the spot and almost cried out. But he put a hand over his mouth and bit his lip. He walked over to his bed side and took his hand gently. He looked much worst than he thought.. But at least he'd be okay.

Gilbert's fingers twitched every now and then, but the doctors said it was most likely from a dream, or something. They had given him an IV in his arm, and the heart monitor beside his bed seemed okay, the steady beep was the only thing making noise in the room.

A few days later...

Gilbert had woken up that night, in the middle of the night really, scaring a nurse to death. His body jerked and he bolted upright in the bed, breathing heavily, and coughing slightly. He looked around scaredly, red eyes locking on the nurse, before she walked over (calmer now) and patted his arm lightly.
"Now now, hun. Just go back to sleep, it'll be okay." She cooed, putting a light hand on his chest and pushing him back down. Gilbert nodded, and settled back down into the pillows, now painfully aware of the burns on his arms, but he fell asleep rather quickly. He awoke again hours later, but now it was light outside, and there was another nurse beside him, giving him a new IV. He blinked, looking around, unable to find anything to say, but then something popped up.
"Where's..Roderich?" He managed weakly, blinking his red eyes up at the Nurse. "'s...he okay?"

Roderich ended up going to a hotel near by the hospital due to the fire pretty much destroying his home. The doctors were thinking about him staying at the hospital in case he anything happened to him, but they ended up letting him go to the hotel instead. It was now morning and Roderich decided to go back over to the hospital to see if Gilbert was doing any better. He had the hardest time sleeping last night because the only thing he thought about was if Gilbert was okay. Now he looked tired and had dark circles under his eyes when he looked in the mirror before he left.
Roderich came up to the front desk and asked if he could see Gilbert and the lady that was their nodded while she lead him toward Gilbert's room.

The Nurse had made Gilbert eat something, and he did, with much struggled though. He kept refusing and telling them he wanted to see Roderich, and that they were all "unawesome freaks who dont cooperate" and now he sat with his arms folded over his chest, a determined gleam in his eye while the nurse before him tried offering him some apple sauce.
"C'mon if you eat it you'll feel better!"
"No." Gilbert answered, he knew it was drugged, since he'd overheard them say he couldn't have pills yet.
"Pleeeease?" The girl begged and Gil rolled his eyes.
"Can you just, like, leave? I'm not hungry." He growled.

The lady paused in front of the door and told him to wait their for a moment. Roderich watched her peek through the door and ask the nurse inside, "Is Gilbert allowed to have vistors at the secound.. or is he busy?" she asked the nurse quietly while glancing at the albino who was refusing to eat as it looked. "He can come back anouther time if you two are busy,"

"No maybe they can make him eat!" The nurse grumbled, setting the apple sauce on rhe little table beside the be and leaving the room, before pushing Roderich In. Gilbert immediately brightened among seeing Roderich and grinned.
"Roddy..!" He said happily.

Roderich blinked and looked at Gilbert and smiled gently, but on the inside he felt like he wanted to start crying from happeness that he was okay. He walked over until he was beside Gilbert and smiled, "How are you feeling Gil," he said gently and took his hand in his.

Gilbert held onto Roderich's hand tightly, before using it to pull him down into a tight hug, despite how much it hurt his arms..and torso..and entire body.
"I'm fine I was so worried abou you.." He whimpered quietly, practically shaking from relief that Roderich was okay.
"Are you okay? Did the police get to you in time?! God Roddy I was so scared..is Ludwig okay? I bet he's worried sick..probably hoping I'll die so my awesomeness will rub off on him!" He said with a small smile, pulling back away from Roderich some, to look into his eyes.

Roderich smiled while whipping his now darker hair out of his face. "I was so scared when the house collapsed on you.. I tried going back in but the firemen pulled me back as I was blacking out. I do remember seeing Ludwig.. he was practically screaming out your name. He came over beside me as I was being pushed to the ambulance, and asked if you were okay, but I blacked out before I could reply. I haven't seen him since," Roderich said calmly. "At least your better than I thought you were.. I was so worried," he mumbled.

"That roof.." Gilbert began, trying to recall the structure falling on him.
"Is heavy as he**.." He huffed. "I'm glad I got you out first, glad..got you to safety.." Gil's voice trailed off and he coughed, for a second looking paler and fragile, since his skin was still dusted with ash, before he regained his brightness.
"They said I get to leave today..my bandages are water proof so I can get a bath 'n stuff.." He said brightly.

"Really?" Roderich said raising an eyebrow. "Well that's good," he said with a sigh and smiled. He then glanced over at the bowl of apple sauce and grabbed it. "Gil, you need to eat this. The doctor needs you to, and it'll make you feel better," he said calmly to him.

Gilbert eyed the applesauce, then looked back at Roderich.
"But.." He whimpered, not wanting to fall asleep and miss any moment of seeing his boyfriend. Slowly, a smirk worked it's way across with face.
"If you undress and put it on you I'll lick it off." He hummed quietly, bringing Roderich's chin down for a kiss.
