Cole hopped into the car and turned to Scotty. "um, so where to? Like..the hospital, or police station orrr...."He asked, hoping Scotty would catch on.

"Oh uh.." he blinked out of his daze "The hospital..." he mummbled.

Cole nodded and pulled out of the drive way, making his way to the hospital. They parked and entered the large stone building. Cole had always hated the hospitals, the deep medical smell, and however many times he'd been in here it scarred him.

Scotty paused and spoke to a docter.

"Sorry Kid, we can't let anyone in now." The man said.

"Why not?!" Scotty yelped.

"Listen kid, right now she's in surgery..." the docter's words made Scotty freeze "But I'll tell you when you can go in!" the docter said patting his shoulder and walking off.

Cole froze too, and then pulled Scotty away from the door. "Common man, let's go sit down somewhere." He said, pulling him by his hand. He pushed Scotty into a chair, and shrugged himself into one too. "Okay, so...what do you wanna talk about besides the fact this hospital has that god awful smell in it..." He joked, elbowing Scotty lightly.

It took Scotty a moment to think "I don't know..." he sighed then grinned "How about how you totally bombed with Rachel!"

Cole groaned and threw back his head. "Ahh, but you do know i never liked her boy! She was alll like 'Oh im going to touch you and kiss you and make you loooove me!'" He laughed, making his impersionation.

Scotty laughed "Awww it's only cause she likes you, Cole!"

Cole scoffed, and looked at him. "A liiiittle too much." He said, before seeing the doctor and two nurses come out of Kate's room.

Scotty saw them to and stood up instantly, the docter walked over.

"Alright Kid, she's still under because of the medication... give it about hmmm.. five more minutes then you can go in." The docter nodded.

"Thanks." Scotty said when the docter turned and walked off.

Cole smiled at one of the nurses, as she winked at him. Five minutes passed quickly, and then they went into Kate's room. Cole held the door open for Scotty and followed him in.
"Da**." He muttered, looking down at her.

Scotty glared at Cole, but quickly turned around when he felt someone grab his hand.

"Scotty?" Kate blinked.

"Kate!" Scotty perked like a little kid on christmas morning.

"What are you doing here?' She asked.

"It'd take me to long to tell you..." he replied simply kneeling down beside the bed.

Cole sat in a chair and watched the two. "Lucky dog..." He murmured, too quiet for anyone to hear. He took out a pocket knife from his pocket and began examining it.

"Scotty, I...I..." she let her voice trail off and blushed.

Scotty squeezed her hand, and looked at her.

Cole watched them, and stayed quiet, though desperately wanting to make a sarcastic comment or joke.
