Timmy nodded. "Yeah, it is," he said. "Should we start digging here?"
"Probably, and remember, let no one know of any of the things we set up here," said Jarrett. "If there's a spy among the gang, the best thing to do is be secretive."

Beth headed down to help him.
"Meldox," said Jarrett. "You said Roger and John live near Ballas turf?" he asked. "I'm not saying they're spies or anything, but you said you've trusted them a lot. Thing is, what if some Ballas snuck in and found some information from them when they're not home? Or planted bugs, that is recording devices?" he continued. "The rest of the community lives in a rather tightnit area, where something like that seems hard to happen. But if those two live closer to Ballas terf, it's possible it's happening there," he explained, though personally, he was more suspecious of them than he was letting on. He knew how to investigate in situations like this and wasn't going to outright say he thought they might be the spies.
"We know that the Ballas and Los Vagos have used information they just shouldn't know, they have to be getting it from somewhere, whether or not that person knows they're being used as the spy or not. There are four main suspects that fit the critiria of being close enough to you but not part of the family proper; Paul, Mammoth, John, and Roger," Jarrett stated, pacing back and forth in thought. "Timmy cleared Paul pretty much, and he lives in this house so they can't be stealing information from his place. That leaves Roger, John, and Mammoth as the only ones who seem close enough to you to know when Timmy and Glenn would go out and when you'd be on patrol and they could attack your house without you being here, but Mammoth didn't join Grove Street until after Timmy's death," he explained. "And he wasn't close to you for quite some time, if your personality is any inclination, your trust doesn't come cheap. Thus, John and Roger are the only remaining suspects I have with the information I have now, but since they're long time friends, it's probably not intentional. If they can spy on the Ballas for you, whose to say the Ballas aren't spying on them back and stealing secrets out from under their noses? It wouldn't be there fault, but it's still the most likely possibility. No offense at all, I'm just doing my job and trying to find out how the gangs are getting this sensitive information."

"That's kind of my point," said Jarrett. "See, they're your friends, have been a long time. The Ballas probably know that much. They might know they live there but someone with higher up chose to use that to their advantage," he explained. "I can go over and sweep the place with a device that picks up bugs, I use that all the time," he explained, as that kind of thing happened a lot when you were a detective. "I checked around here when I was here yesterday, but I didn't find anything, that's why I was willing to talk to you about all this," he continued. "I doubt the Ballas would have that, but just in case, and there are other ways they could spy on those two," he stated. "Meldox, I know they're your good friends, but with them so close to Ballas turf and a possible leak to the Ballas somewhere, we've got to be careful who knows what. I'll sweep the entire gang's houses for bugs when we go to help build the tunnels, but so far, only the people in this family, Paul, and Mammoth have solid allibies of where they were when Timmy was killed, the Ballas had to find out somewhere. Until we find out where, we have to be extra careful who we trust, for the safety of everyone. Right now, we have to find that leak."

"Not at the moment," said Jarrett. "I'll have to do some more investigation to see if my suspesions are correct, that's an important rule of being a detective, never assume anything," he explained. "Well obviously the tunnel here, but I'd suggest Mammoth's place first, since we can pretty much confirm he's not the leak by the fact he didn't join until after the information leak began," he explained. "Oh, that reminds me," he said, handing over a large wad of money. "You said you needed money for MAmmoth's opperation, right?"

Jarrett nodded. "Yeah, I bet she did..." he said. "...You know, I think I felt the same way about her as Glenn has spent all this time feeling for Timmy...like it was all my fault and I should've done something...but I don't think there's anything either of us really could've done..."

Jarrett nodded. "I know...but at least they're here now, being an angel is a pretty big deal too."

Timmy tugged lightly on Meldox's tail, wanting to play.
