Rii was in the process of just getting out the back of the cave when she heard Brady's howling whimpers. She paused a moment and turned her head to look in the direction it came from. Her ears folded back against her head, she didn't like the way the howls sounded.
"Come on you two," Rii said, moving the pups forward. She knew she had to get the pups somewhere safe before she did anything to help Brady.

"But what about daddy?! He's getting hurt!" Bran screamed and tried to run against his mothers pushes. he began to cry again, and whimpered, silently began to pray that Brady would be okay. He then looked at Eureka.
"You think we should go help?" he whispered to his sister, as Rii pushed them along.

Rii sniffed the air, looking around. She hoped to find a den to leave the pups at while she turned around and went to help Brady.
Eureka's ears were folded back completely against her head in worry. "We gotta help him..."

"I agree." Bran made up his mind. "ets Go!!" He ran between Rii's legs to Brady's direction, and folllowed Brady's scent. When he saw the hunters he hid behind a rock.

Eureka was at Bran's tail, following him. The sight of the hunters made her growl. I hate humans.. she said to herself.
Rii was completely caught off guard when her kids dashed off in the opposite direction. She ran, following them, and was glad they'd hid behind a rock. Rii saw what the humans were doing.
"Alright..." Rii said looking down. "Stay here." she told the pups. "I'm going to see what i can do." Before her pups could answer, Rii padded out toward the humans and barked.

"RII!?"
Rii!

The Hunter and Brady harmonized, Brady clawed the man and the other wacked Brady in the head with a gun. He fell to the ground and grunted, dragging his head on the ground trying to get the muzzle off. Bran realized the stress his parents were in, so he Ran out and bit the hunter's leg.

"GET AWAY FROM MY DAD!!" He sank his sharp puppy teeth into his leg and growled.

Aw! how adorable!! GET HIM. The hunter shouted, grabbing Bran's ruff and throwing him into a cage. Brady got the muzzle off and attacked the hunter, full on. Afraid of scarring Rii by killing her owner, he snarled at him and lked him out of the cave.

"DADDY! Help!!!" Bran cried, and he knawed at the cage bars.

"Bran!" Eureka ran over to the human that grabbed her brother and growled. The moment he reached down for her she snapped down on his hand, growling.
Rii ran over to the cage Bran was in and frantically tried to figure out a way to get him out. "Hold on Bran.." she said, clawing at the cage desperately.

Brady jumped over Rii's ex-owner and slammed his body into the cage knocking it over and breaking it open. Brady grabbed Bran and pushed the girls infront of him. "GO." They began to ran away, when Rii's Owner picked up a gun.

Im getting that Fur. he said and pulled the trigger. Brady heard the shot, and felt a sharp stab in his hind leg. Suddenly, he could run anymore and he fell tossing Bran up ahead.

"Daddy?!" Bran screamed as the hunters loaded him into the truck, in a cage.

Eureka gasped, seeing her father get shot. "Dad!" she shouted.
"Brady!" Rii barked loudly and helplessly as she watched the truck drive away, with Brady inside.

Brady felt the hands pick him up, and his mind bobbled in and out of conciousness.
Daddy! he heard his puppies scream, and he felt their panick. he shook his fur, and licked his wound.
"Rii! Bran, Eureka!!!" He growled and cursed at the hunters, and then made a very difficult decision. Brady slammed his body again into the cage knocking out of the car and slamming it into the ground. He yelped as the cage door flung itself open and he limped out.

THE DOG!!!! Rii's owner screeched, and slammed on the brakes. he hopped out of the car, Grabbing Brady's leg. he swung around and Sank his teeth into His hand, and ripped his head back and forth. He snarled feircely, and let go, running to get to his family.

Rii gasped, seeing the cage fall out the truck. ran to Brady, seeing him escape the cage. Eureka followed, staying close to Bran.
"Those stupid humans!" Eureka growled under her breath.

"Oh Rii....." Brady trotted over and put his pups onto his back and trotted down to the river.
"Are you guys okay?" he asked, licking the pups all over, and rolling them onto their Backs. He tickled their stomachs with his nose, and bRan yawned.
"Daddy, Why did those humans want us?" he asked, looking at his mom seeking the answer.

Eureka snuggled close to Brady. "Yea...how come?" she chimed, also looking up at her mother who sat beside Brady.
"Umh.." Rii folded back her ears.

Brady looked at Rii, and gulped.
"Well, uhm, uh, there must be a reasonable explanation for this..... Right, Rii?" Brady Wagged his tail, and smiled at Rii.

Rii sighed, looking down at her paws. "It's because of me."
Eureka's ears perked at her mother's statement.
