Kodi shook his head, looking like he had a migraine. "nope. If i understand, she won't be born for nearly eaighty years... We have a very strogn bloodline." he said, looking pleasantly surprised.



Anabelle seemed surprised. "Oh? well, I'll keep an eye out for... Charlie?" she said, nodding.


Jenna looked happy, but sad at the same time. She couldn't believe she would be out of Rosie's life at some point. "I'm glad she's so loving, even then."

Kodi shook his head, unsure. "I'm not sure. It would be interesting."

Jenne nodded, looking very happy. "I know, I just wish of didn't have to happen." she said, shuddering


Tai blinked. "Tradition?" she said, "This is the first time." the thought made her smile.

Goldie smiled, still trying to goad Steele into sharing his story. "Dad has a story." she said, flashing big puppy eyes. "Please?"

Anabelle chuckled, shaking her head. "I think you're not giving yourself enough credit." she said. "I'll help you tell it, but you start."


Blaze and Derbin grinned, sitting down in front of Steele. They were waiting for the story.

"Ok, thanks," said Steele, smiling. "Now you see, before then, I was pretty bad jerk," he explained. "And I hated Christmas."

Kenai gasped. "You hate Kiss'miss?"

"Used to, yes," said Steele.

Steele walked down the streets of Juneo, snarling and in a foul mood. "Come on Cain, we've got stuff to do."

"You see kids, some...bad things happened to me on Christmas when I was a puppy, I'd never really had a good one after an incident I'd had once." said Steele. "We'll get to that later."

Steele jumpped up and tore a reef down from a door and relieved himself on it, he then continued on his way.

"I wasn't a nice guy then at all," said Steele, embaressed he'd done that.

Anabelle nodded gravely. "He wasn't nice in the least. And neither was his son, Cain. If you don't mine my saying so, he was a bigger jerk than you were, Steele."

Cain nodded, hiding a snicker as he watched his Dad. "You get funner every year." he said with a smirk. "What are we gonna do this year? Bit a couple carolers? Mess up some wrapping? Or are those ideas too mainstream?" he said, looking about with slight disgust.

"Things got a lot different that year hm?" Anabelle asked Steele. "Because of a certain girl."

Goldie coughed lightly on the streets, very young, not much older than Jenna's litter. She walked along slowly, trying to keep her body steady. A little girl gave her a pat while her parents weren't looking, giving her a piece of jerky.

"I had to rely on people's kindness." Goldie said sadly. "My parents passed away when I was very young if I remember right, it was during a sled run.. Anyway, their owner didn't want me anymore, and abandoned me." she said, giving a smile. "but I digress."

Goldie smiled. "I know, but I was never sad. In fact, I loved Christmas. I still do."


Goldie yipped, falling back as the crates fell, and trembled at the growl. She spluttered, spitting out mud, to Cain's amusement. "M-Merry Ch'issmass." she murmured, still trembling. Even on such a sad state, she wished no ill will.

"You're really scary when you're mad. I was so afraid of you." said Goldie leaning against Steele happily.

Cain pouted, tripping the pup with a hind foot. "Come on, you did say we got business today." said Cain, hating the laughter and joy around him.

Anabelle nodded. "Yes, I just had to bring Pakak and Belladonna to Steele."

Belladonna nodded, but looked a little sick. "Same here. But even I wasn't this bad."

Anabelle nodded, looking rather upset. "I have plans for him. You two just act like you never reformed. Your first test taker."

Cain rolled his eyes. He just wanted the day to end. "This day is gonna stink." he said, glaring a a couple, who left rather fast. "I don't care what these morons do."

Anabelle nodded, smirking. "I want you two to scare him straight. Show him nightmares of what has happened, what is happening, and what will be. The ghosts will show him the truth. Try your best to corrupt him."

Belladonna ndded, turning into her demon self. "No problem. I look forward to my new charge."
