Kelev: *coughs* Ah, you got me there, SilverKia. My main inspiration for Ewan's character actually is Obi-Wan Kenobi, but I try my best to make him sound and act a bit different so it's not a copy. That little quote slipped in on it's own!

(Your statement to Pete conversation I just heard. Get ready for a overfan boy's rant) I'm sorry but from Pete's view what he says if very correct. Take it from Pete's view, he was very found of his father, and has died. Notably you made him tell everyone else, a burden THAT is. So still hurt from it all, trying to recover he sees you start to hang around another notably not other males keenly one Rex. Thinking something will come along, he worries you're replacing 'Yuke.' A hero and a father figure to him. He asks you not take it a step further, angered at your action, you basically say, 'it's nothing, I'm going to see him anyway, regardless of what you think.' Which you did come about WRONGLY. That should have been a red flag waving in the air! You basically left it at that for Pete. Imagine the worry he has now. It very well seems your 'replacing' Yuke to Pete. Instead of having conversation's about Yuke, or with him general of how you have been feeling lately with Pete. Next time he sees notably the only time he sees you is when you are going to Rex, or with Rex. You didn't even talk to him about it. At the most once to him saying 'I can be with who ever I want I'm single now.' to Pete at least. For Pete getting incredibly worried and angered sees you and Rex a lot, since change is happening so quickly for Pete, not letting him any time to adjust what so ever. Getting rather 'hurt' putting it mildly. That you are replacing his father, and your words to him in Pete's world 'Screw you, I love Rex now! Your father is dead!' Notably Rex said that 'He's dead' I don't remember the real words from the story, to Pete's world since you never let him, meet, talk or know Rex AT all. 'Your father is gone, she is with me now. His replacement.' It was almost out of the blue, other then his fearful thoughts of what was going on. You never let him adjust or understand, you didn't help him recover just made it worse. Hardly let him now your thoughts at time he really NEEDED them. And you say shortly afterwords, 'Pete will never understand, screw him.' Maybe he doesn't understand because you never let him have the chance to understand, only all at once at the 'wedding.' Which I personally though was INCREDIBLY SELFISH! On your part at least, its if Pete was never in your life. Also keenly since you have been with Rex, Pete you seem to put as villain figure, I can't recall ONE positive thing you said about Pete. All you say to him do you understand? He understands it all right! He isn't a part of the 'new family' he just has to live with it.

I'm personally not anti you and Rex, I like your pairing it's cute^^ (Sorry Pete) but when I think of Pete...it seems kinda wrong.
Pete you are my favorite character in the entire story!! You need more read time....

No, Comet is just Comet. He's one of those happy 'accidents' that we authors hope to have: One of those characters that seem to write themselves. But Ewan and Orde are both partially based off many things, including two Star Wars characters. (Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon) Gah, now I feel like I'm such a geek... But they are really the only two so far that are inspired by SW at all. I have other sources of inspiration as well for them, such as Disney and so on. (Example: Ideas for Orde came from a book serise as well as Aslan from Narnia: LWW. *shrugs* So yeah, inspirations for characters seem to be more obvious then I intended...)

Terry: I do feel bad about asking him to tell his brothers and sisters, but I really couldn't think straight. And the kids... every one of them right then was another reminder of... of how close I had been to Yuke. As for when he came at me about Rex, I made it very clear that I was not "seeing" him in that way. Perhaps I should have been a little more gentle about it, but it's not Pete's place to just up and tell me who I can be friends with. I'm his mother, not vice-versa.
Rex: I blame myself for being a bit gruff in my first contact with Pete.
Terry: Rex, you're not the guilty one here. And Krazy, I have tried many times to get Pete to just try talking to Rex. But Pete flat-out refuses. He hasn't even called me "Mom" in years, and I practically have to drive him into an alley just to get a "hello."

Toby: I've read all 1 - 12 of the Toby series, but do you sometimes still wish you could be a sled dog? If you had longer fur, would you rather be on the sled team or the police force?

Toby: That's a tough one. But now that I've settled down with the Winters', I doubt it. Charlie's a great kid, and even though he might not need me as much as he used to, he kinda grew on me.

Haley: Non, never. Well, maybe once in a while...
