Rue nodded. "Okay. You were only out for about an hour or so," she said.

"Oh, I've been out longer than that before. If I ever do that again, just splash me, it makes me wake up faster. But it doesn't work immediately, just so you know." She added. "Even after being splashed my body takes it slow."

"I'll remember that for next time," Rue said. "Hopefully there won't be a next tim ethough," she added.

"Unfortunately, there probably will," Setsuko groaned. Her strength was returning quickly and she was sitting up straight now. "At least it's clean in here. Now we just have to worry about the roof." She glanced up. There where only a few patches that needed fixing, it had protected them well from the storm and only a hole or two went all the way through to the inside.

Rue followed Setsuko's gaze, her brown eyes quickly spotting the holes that needed fixing the most. "If only we had an axe," she sighed. "Then we could atleast chop off some branches to help."

"Tuh, if only," Setsuko agreed. "But we'll find a way." She wondered how they would get the wood....and moreso, how they would stick it on the roof when they got it.

"Hopefully." Rue added. "Maybe we could tear up some of the floor, and use that. Most of it is rotting anyway. Dirt floors aren't that bad either," she suggested, unableto think of anything else.

Setsuko thought a moment. "I dunno," She replied. "I'm not squeamish about dirt or anything, but I think that it would be better to leave the floor here. It's not that bad, either. A bit squeaky, but not disgusting."

Rue shrugged. "It was just a suggestion," she said. "Maybe we could get a bunch of branches from bushes, and lay them across the holes untill we can find some way to get actual wood," she said.

Setsuko nodded slowly. "That's a good idea," She agreed. Then, exiting the cabin, she asked, "Coming? The sooner we do this, the better."

"I'm coming," Rue replied, following Setsuko out.

Setsuko surveyed the area. "There's a tree over there with some thin branches we could pull off," She reported, indicating a large tree with many branches, thick and thin, that was closeby.

"Perfect," Rue said, walking over to it. She reached up, tugging on a thin supple branch. It creaked, and she pulled harder. With a splintering crack it snapped off.

Setsuko followed Rue's example. She gripped a branch firmly. It was small, but strong. The gave it a tug. It bent, but did not break. She tried again, harder this time. Snap! But the branch was still stuck...only cracked. She inhaled slowly, loosening her grip to cool her hands. Then she grabbed it as tight as she could and pulled. A large crack and the branch was off. She did the same thing to about six more branches before sighing and saying, "That should be enough for now." She picked up her pile and headed back to the old cabin.

Rue did the same with hers, the branches digging into her arms, giving her plenty of splinters. SHe ignored it and soon reached the cabin with Setsuko.
