Biddy sighed. "I don't know," she said. "What kind of place did you come from before moving here?"

"Anytime," Victor said with a shrug, sliding his hand down Shay's arm and into her hand. "Not much longer, now."

Biddy groaned. "You're not giving me much to work with," she complained.

Victor smiled as he felt the temperature of Shay's hand rise. He placed his hand on the wall as the tunnel finally opened up into a small, circular area. At the center, there was a small, circular pool of water with a tree with bright green leaves growing in the center. A rock seemed to be helping stand the little tree up right. A circle of sunlight streamed down from somewhere above, though it was too bright to really look at. It wasn't the most amazing sight in the world, but to Victor, it was the greatest place in the world. "Isn't it just breath-taking," he said in awe.

"Well, you should,' Biddy said in a patheticly stubborn way.

Victor shrugged at Shay, but smiled at her reaction. "When you have as much time as I do on your hands, you tend to find all kinds of interesting things."

Biddy smiled and chuckled at herself.

Victor smirked and simply said, "Nothing." But his voice and his smile showed that he wasn't telling Shay something and his eyes glistened michievously.

Biddy glanced at Asher and her smile softened as she realized he was staring at her.

"It's really nothing," Victor said, a little more convincingly.

Biddy's cheeks blushed a slight pink when Asher didn't look away.

Victor chuckled, trying to figure out how to change the subject with out Shay realizing. Or he could just lie. "It's, just, you know, without school and all, you realize how much 24 hours really is."

"No, it's fine," Biddy said looking at the table.

"You don't believe me, do you?" Victor asked knowingly.

Biddy opened her mouth to say something just as the bell rang. She sighed, but got up from the table. "Might as well go to the last class of the day."

Victor smiled when Shay laughed. "You're pretty easy to read," he teased.
