Tomoyo smiled an rolled her eyes "Two."She then heard the whimper and raced toward the iwndow, breaking the kiss.She saw the two fighting."Russet!Your father is here!" She screamed like it was a everyday thing.She raced outside and knocked the male wolf down.She snarled "your son is happy here!" She snapped and the wolf laughed darkly "With dogs?I know my son better-" She cut him off "No you don't!" She snapped "Hes one of us now!" She snapped, kicking the male.

Russet's eyes grew wide and he tensed. He got up, stretched and ran to the door to see Mareem(Russet's dad) and Tomoyo fighting.
Russet's voice grew rough. "Father, if I can call you one."
Mareem's voice was at the same level. "So I see you've made friends with our enemies."
Russet cringed. "Well, I wouldn't call them that," Russet began, thinking of Delilah. "because that's what you are. You and the pack. Here I'm treated like family. And here..." he nosed the necklace towards his father. "I'm taking back my life. I sent the duty back to you."
Mareem growled. "You know you can't do that. You'll have to fight me or have all females pups. Only the gods can do it free-pawed."
Russet smiled. "Exactly. Meet one of the gods' messengers." He looked at Tomoyo. "She's consider one of the gods... so I'll guess you'll just have to look like the bad guy. I won't do that any more."
Mareem snarled. "You little---" he put on the necklace. "Fine. I'll take it. But you'll no longer one of us. The true wolves."
"I'm the wolf. You're the idiot for thinking you are. Now go."
Mareem snarled and left.

With Mareem gone, Russet's body relaxed and he went back to Delilah.
He grinned and barked in celebration. "I'm free!"
He kissed her softly, let her go and pinned her down playfully.
He nuzzled her, so happy that he wouldn't have to carry around the necklace that chained him down.
