He nuzzled her and finished treating her wound by making a mix of mud and the healing leaves and coating the shot wound in it.
"I don't think we can stay here any more though. That man is way too close, and dangerous.

The two wolves traveled the most of the day. Mike stopping often to check on Jamie to see if her wound was alright. Near sun down, Mike found a small cave large enough for the two of them to sleep in.
"Mind if we spend the night here?"

She was smiling the whole time and she said, "Sure!" She then walked in and plopped down. They were in another beautiful valley.

Mike grinned widely, and licked her on the forehead, then fell asleep.
The morning came bright and early. Mike slowely awoke, and watched two squirrels play outside the cave. This was a very nice location. He would even say it was better than the last place they were. Plus, he didn't see any signs of humans.

This was the first time in a while that Jamie could ever stay asleep for another hour in the morning. She then felt Mike nuzzle her awake. She opened her eyes slowly, " Good morning Mike." She yawned and smiled.

She walked out of the cave, " Yes. We have." She smiled and pounced on him playfully and asked, " Mike, do you want to be my mate?" She asked with soft kind eyes looking into his.
