Carmen avoided his eyes. "You don't need me, Damien already pretty much mastered fire, and seeing you and Chase.. I mean it's good to see you two so in love but.. it brings up too many memories and the last time that happened, Tara was almost killed. I can't have that."

Carmen was unsure what to do and how to respond at first... then she eventually put her arms around him, though hesitantly. "And you're like my brother, but I can't be around 'him', it's like a match to a flame, someone's gonna get hurt eventually."
