Runt grinned a little at his stuttering. "Of course, why not?"

Runt smiled back, happy to see him happy as well. Then, she fiddled with a lock of her browish, reddish hair. "So," she said, "Does this mean we're friends now?"

"I guess" smiled Jay, biting his fingernails.

Grave laughed

Grave grinned "Hmm... You looked round the back of the house?"

Runt began to play with her shoelace. "So." she said.

Jay looked at her for a second "What made you become a killjoy anyway?"

Grave grinned and strodeoff

Runt chewed her lip and thought awhile. "Well," she began, "My parents were both Killjoys, and they raised my brother and I to be ones too. It's just always been that way, y'know? But when I was six, and Hype was eight, they got ghosted, had their memories erased, the whole sha'bang. Hype took care of me, and we both kinda promised each other that we'd never let them take us alive." She gave a small sigh through her nose before continuing, "And it's been that way ever since."
