Why do a lot of you hate Aleu?

I meant that both Steele and Aleu were created to be arrogant and selfish, so you can't hate Aleu for these reasons if you don't hate Steele as well.

No, how they portrayed Aleu's character, she was not supposed to be arrogant and selfish, she was supposed to be confused and spunky, but they went at it the wrong way. And yet, as I said, Aleu's the good guy, and Steele is the bad guy.

I agree too, Alue did not know she was part, but she did not believe her father, Balto. So she ran away to find out for her self.

Well, I think that Aleu is really cute and nice, but I think it's pretty stupid to tell your own father "I hate you"

I, personally, love aleu. She's one of my favorite characters. People do say that her high pitched voice and constant complaining is what they hate about her. Honestly I don't care, that's the way her character is "put together". I also agree to, aleu is not the bad guy. She was mad at her dad because he kept something away from her for a while and she freaked out.He just protecting his child, basically what parents do best.

Not everyone enjoys every character of every movie.

To add a point, I just remembered. I hate her because, like in The Little Mermaid 2 (another atrocious sequel to a perfectly good movie), you were in fact forced to like the main character.

You had to like her because no matter what she did she was "always right" and she did "everything cute" and she was "different" and everyone you were supposed to like "liked her" and "accepted her". She was just a big fat Mary Sue. Nothing newly flawed about her character, so she was a very "safe" character to like. Which is why so many are misled to "love" her.

So your point is that it's the same for Aleu?

Everone has opinions. i respect that.

well mine, is i like her. she is cool, and pretty. love her design.

also, she is like that for a reason. yeah it gets annoying, but yeah. i still like her.
