Katis started the car and after a moment of driving, she looked over at Sydney. "...are you okay..." She asked, so only Syd could hear.

Marty was asleep, or acted like he was... It was hard to tell.

"No, Sin ruined everything. He pissed off Marty and just...ugh" She grumbled, tossing her head back and looking at the ceiling of the car.

Sin felt no remorse, he sat, scowling out the window as he always did.

"I-I mean, me and Marty were just starting to become friends, and then Sin has to get all jealous about it and now I'm pretty sure Marty doesn't even want to be my friend." Sydney tried to explain.

"I just don't get why Sin has to do that. He's such an a**hole sometimes." She muttered.

"Hey, next motel stop: you should have some alone time with Marty." Katie grinned.

By now Marty had sat up, and was looking out the window.

Sydney blinked, then smiled a bit, "Maybe I will." She said.

Sin continued to glare out the window while Maddy tried to sleep.

"Oh,la,la! Is this the kind of alone time, I'm thinking of?" She said playfully, trying not to laugh.

"You okay?" Scotty asked.

Marty nodded slowly: "..Tired.." he huffed simply.

"..Maybe." Sydney said with a wink before laughing.

Sin looked over and grunted, then went back to looking out the window.

Maddy stirred and sat up.

"Sin, can I braid your hair?" She asked, running her hand through his rather poofy mohawk. Sin sighed and rolled his eyes.

"If you want." He said shortly. Maddy yipped with excitement and began braiding his hair.

And so, once darkness had settled and Katie got tired of driving. She found them a motel and they all got settled. Ironically though, somehow, Marty had ended up with his own room. So he sat outside on the patio again, smoking.

Maddy made a B-line for the shower, shutting both Sydney and Katie out for a good 15 minuets. Sydney sighed and rolled her eyes, reaching for her book, but then deciding she wanted to go see Marty. She shuffled out of the room and down to where Marty's room was. The girl walked over and sat next to him, keeping silent and looking at the ground in front of her.

Marty was chewing on the end of his cigarrette when she came out, it was a strange habit of his. When Sydney walked over though he tossed the stick aside and looked at her, surprised by her quietness, but he still smiled-happy to see her: "Hey." He greeted warmly, but in a quiet tone.

"Sorry about Sin," She muttered simply. "He's such an a** sometimes." She balled her fists with irritation.

"Ah, it's fine." he assured looking back at his sneakers.
