"I get off at 5, we could go out to dinner or something after." Heater agreed, "Call me later and we'll work out the details." Heather added before kissing his cheek and bolting out the door. She hopped on the bus and rode over to the Starbucks on 32nd Street.

Atticus nodded then he hurried off to the pub. He arrived after about fifteen minutes and went inside.

"Atticus!" An older, well dressed, grey haired, man.

"Hi Nigel!" Atticus greeted extending his hand.

"Why so formal, my boy!" Nigel laughed roughly hugging the young man then letting him go.

"My you've grown up on me! Do you shave now? You've got a shadow?"

"It's part of my look!" Atticus smirked.

"Hahaha! You've still got a bloody good sense of humor!" Nigel laughed.

"So why are you back in town, Nigel?"

"Well, I needed to bring you..." he pulled a silver ring from his pocket, tied on a leather string like a necklace "...this." he said handing it to Atticus. "I retreived it one on of my adventures... in Italy... it belonged to one of your ancestors."

Atticus looked over at the silver ring and then read the inscription: "Non è mai troppo tardi..." he thought for a moment. "That's... Italian... for... It's... It's never... too late... It's Never Too Late?"

"Your father said you where brilliant, but I never thought you knew Italian. And It's an old moto, your family has lived by it for years."

"I'm a sloppy Italian... but it's Never too late for what?" Atticus asked.

Heather got behind the counter and started whipping out orders like there was no tommarow.

"I don't know my boy, It's one of the many mysteries your family holds." Nigel replied.

Atticus put on the necklace and let the ring fall flat against his shirt, before he took a seat at a table with Nigel.

Atticus and Nigel departed at twenty five after five. He pulled out his phone and dialed Heather's number, waiting excitedly for her to pick up.

Heather was exhuasted by the end of her shift. She adjusted her visor and fixed the hair that was plastered to her forehead. She felt her phone vibrate and she answered it, seeing as it was Atticus.

"Hey!" She said exitedly.

((Should she get kidnapped soon?))

((hmm, oh yeah! She could like get kidnapped, and like not make it to their date, so Atticus goes to like find her cuase he knows something's up X3)

"Hey Heather." he greeted "Do you want to go out for something to eat?" he asked hopefully.

"Sure, I'm starving!" Heather exclaimed, she grabbed her wallet and stuffed it in her pocket. Heather looked around the shop and then left. She walked down the street, her phone pressed to her ear.

"Wanna go to, I don't know, Subway or something? No wait, it's dinner time. Right. Hmm, I'm in the mood for pasta. Either that or burgers. Know any good places?" Heather asked, looking at her finger nails and not paying attention to where she was going.

"How about Tony Roma's, that Italian restaurant next to the bakery?" he offered.

A black van came rolling slowly up the street shutting off it's lights when the men driving saw Heather, they still rolled silently along.

"Yeah sure, I'll be there in 15 minuets!" Heather said with ethusiasim laced in every word. She hung up and began walking down the road, it wasn't too long of a walk.

As soon as she hung up, the van's tires screeched as it suddenly sped up alongside heat, the back door swung open and two massive men grabbed Heather and pulled her into the van. Slamming the door and speeding off.

Heather squealed when a pressure came down on both shoulders. She turned blindly and clawed at whoever was causing her pain, but found herself all ready in a car. Two days in a row someone hd tried to kill her, seriously? Heather couldn't believe it. She kicked and screamed and thrashed.

"Let me go!" She begged, blindly kicking around, she wouldn't open her eyes, the monsters wouldn't get her if she couldn't see them.

"God, she's a h*ll of a fighter! Tommy, calm her down!" The driver of the van ordered.

Tommy, a jet black haired man, in his mid 30's took handcuffs, and bound her hands and feet, he then clammed her into the side of the van so she would stop struggling or get hurt. Tommy looked at Heather with a cruel glint in his eyes, more like an envious glance. When he saw how beautiful she was. but he looked back at his boss.

Heather kept her eyes shut tight, and she tried her best to keep her cool. She felt a pair of hands pressing on her shoulders, and her own hands were bound. Heather spat and screamed and kicked, she didn't like this, she didn't want to see. She wanted her freedom again, she wanted out.

"I want out! Let me out! Let go of me!" She screamed even louder, her high pitched voice raking her ears and causing even her to wince.

"Tommy, shut her up!" the Boss snapped.

Tommy nodded, he hit Heather hard with the back of his hand and snarled "Shut your mouth!"

Atticus arrived at the resturant, he was slightly disturbed when Heather wasn't there. SHe would've arrived before him. So where was she. He left and headed to starbuck, wondering if she had stayed late or somthing.

Heather squealed when a fist came down on her, and she finally opened her caramel eyes. She looked around wildly, her face throbbing, a fire spreading where she had been struck.

"Who are you? What do you want? Why am I here?" Heather asked, her voice frantic but low.
