Down came the cascade, drenching the nymph in an instant. Ah, well; she needed needed a bath anyways. Lyllii shook her long mane out of her face, sending droplets in random directions before making a move to tackle the elf.
"If I'm getting wet, so are you!" she laughed.

Lyllii's laugh joined Maiya's, doubling over as the nymph clutched her sides and nearly teetered into the river again. It had been ages since the last time Lyllii could remember laughing like that, and already she felt much freer, younger; as young as she looked.
"Should we head back?" she suggested, wiping a tear of mirth from her eye. "I'm sure the others might be needing that pot soon."

Lyllii took it, grasping Maiya's forearm firmly as she allowed herself to be pulled the stream's gravely shallows and grabbed the pot. Her gaze fell on the elf, and suddenly the nymph found herself giggling uncontrollably again. "Aren't we a sight!" she said suddenly, gesturing at both her wet clothing and Maiya's. "The other's won't know what they missed!"
She shook her head in amusement while hiking back to the group's temporary camp. Once there, she set the pot next to Sespyn's pack, angled in such a way against the cave wall as to let any remaining moisture evaporate before being packed again.
Sespyn returned moments later, fish held by the tail in one hand, staff grasped in the other. He eyed both the sopping wet forms of Maiya and Lyllii before shaking his head and exhaling a sigh. "Had fun, I see," he muttered. "Just don't come complaining to me when those clothes become uncomfortable."

"Woah, nice trick Maiya!" Lyllii grinned.
Sespyn's face remained unreadable, then finally softened. "Not bad," he commented with a note of approval. He then proceeded to restart the fire, blowing gently on the coals before feeding it fresh fuel before finding a flat rock to skin his fish onto. He "Roast fish sound good to you?"

Aaron nodded, moving a bit to his right in order to get a better angle. He shortly tried to estimate which direction would be best to steer them towards before coming to the conclusion that Kasha's position was the best place. Aaron started by making an almost imperceptible growling noise; it sounded dangerously reptilian. Once the deer's ears shot upward, Aaron moved to the other side, taking them by complete surprise as he shot out of the trees. Aaron pursued them diligently, turning the smallish herd towards Kasha's direction, where he knew it should be easy enough for her to pick one off.

Kasha's eyes lit up in anticipation, the thrill of the hunt coursing through her. She whipped out her dagger, easily bringing on down with the help of her cat-like reflexes. The rest of the deer scattered, panicked by the threats behind them and the death of one of their members. Kasha stood, dusting off her leggings as she sheathed her dagger. "I think that'll be enough meat," she commented, glancing at the animal.
~~~
Maiya's face lit up at Lyllii's obvious praise, and the note of approval in Sespyn's voice. "Thanks!" she responded brightly. She nodded at Sespyn's question. "That sounds great," she smiled.
Sespyn nodded in acknowledgement. He then began to hunt for branches long enough to construct a spit, but most of them had already been used for the fire the night before or were too irregularly shaped for any sort of stability. Eventually, he settled on two long, but relatively sturdy sticks before returning to the fire. He then slid the two smaller fish on one and the slightly larger fish on the other.
"We'll have to roast them this way, unless Lyllii decides to lend a hand," he explained as he handed the skewer with the larger fish meat to Maiya.
"Seems like you have it covered well enough," Lyllii retorted with a sniff.
Sespyn chuckled lightly as he positioned his own skewer over the open flame.
Aaron nodded again, smiling in spite of himself. "Sounds good to me," he said, and Aaron went to grab the deer. He put it over his shoulder, looking over towards the river, wondering in the back of his mind if they should try and bring water back to. Gah, never mind. They'd be able to do it later, right? They'd done enough for a short while. "Let's get this back and cook it as soon as we can," he commented, and began walking, looking back every now and then to see if Kasha was behind him.
Maiya took the spit, holding it over the fire. It took only a few moments for the smell of cooking fish filled the air, making the elf's mouth water. She stared at them, as if the sheer force of her gaze would make them cook faster.
~~~~
Kasha followed, long legs easily keeping up with the rapid pace. Her keen nose twitched at the strong smell of deer, and she was unable to help it as her mouth began to water. "That was...fun," she admitted, glancing at Aaron. Fun wasn't often a word she used, but she hadn't been hunting in a while, and it had been an enjoyable experience. Fun applied here.

Sespyn slowly rotated his skewer over the fire near its base, watching in satisfaction as fleshy pinks and whites gradually darkened to a crispy golden color. Soon, the fish would be ready to eat, and Maiya's portion should be as well.
Lyllii wrinkled her nose at the smell of cooking fish. It may be "healthier" than most mammal meat, but did it have to smell so strong, so...fishy? "Um, I'm going to wait over there for Kasha and Aaron. They should be back any time now," she mumbled as she excused herself, gesturing to an oak tree down wind. "See ya."
Moments later, she thought she could make out Aaron's sandy head and Kasha's dark form against the underbrush...and was that a deer? How in the world were the two of them going to eat all that? No matter; that was their problem, not hers. "Hey! Looks like hunting was good," she commented with slight amusement.

Aaron chuckled whole-heartedly. "Sure was. We should do that more often. If only for the fun of chasing them around instead of killing." He smiled towards Kasha. Throughout their trip so far, he had been friendly with her because she was kind to him, but he could suddenly feel a budding friendship between the two. Perhaps they had more in common than meets the eye? Whatever the case, he didn't mind it. He hadn't had true friends in a while, after all.
By the time they arrived back with the others, he heard Lyllii comment on their kill. He rolled his eyes playfully and said, "But of course!" He set it down on a clean rock slab and let his lips sport a small smile.
