"We should look around before making any moves against them," Kali theorized. "Those cluster of trees would camoflauge us perfectly," she said, her keen eyes locked onto a small group of thick pines.

"Zane...you should probably stay behind. I mean-" Kali began.

Zane held up a hand, interrupting her. "I think I can finish. It's something along the lines of this; I'm not "special"?" He raised one eyebrow.

"It's more of a matter of being stealthy right now. We can't afford him making a move...I am not sticking my neck out for him," Kali retorted.

"Fine. Zane can come," Kali sighed. "But you're responsible for saving his butt if he does mess up," she said, looking at her friend.

Zane subtly grabbed Shay's hand.

Kali immediatly walked - to be more accurate, stormed - towards the trees. Even when anger was obvious in her steps, they were still soft, only making a light rustling sound on the ground, covered with dead grass and leaves.

Zane watched Kali storm off. "Did I ever do anything to make her angry? Other than this?" As an example, he kissed her cheek lightly, his lips skimming over Shay's cool skin. A small grin formed on his face.

Zane noticed that, and his grin grew fractionally. "We should probably catch up," he said suddenly.

Kali had begun to run, and was already at the small grove of trees. Even though it had been quite some distance away, her augemented muscles allowed her to run quite a bit faster...which happened to be an understatement. The sun played across her skin, dyed green by the canopy of leaves ahead. She barely noticed the ethereal quality it held, and only focused on finding the best place to eavesdrop and survey the Smoky camp.
