"Oh no!" she muttered. "David will see me like this too!!" she sat down and dropped her paw. "Hey, do you really think it looks ok?' she aksed, sure that she was(lol, ugly.

"Yeah. You look cool. Like I said before, it makes you look like a real experienced Fighter. Like, real advanced, too." Nightstar sat down by her friend and sighed. "If only you would stop worrying about it. When you make a big deal about it, you look like a little pup with a boo-boo!" She spoke with mock sympathy, then chuckled to herself. "Really. Now come on, let's go." Nightstar headed for the den opening.

Silversnow threw her friend a withering ghlance, then followed her out the entrance.

Nightstar smiled slyly. She knew Silversnow didn't wanna go out, and somehow she enjoyed that...she wasn't sure why.

"Stop grinning at me like that," she complained. "You're creeping me out!" She looked out the entrance uneasily, still unsure about going outside the den because of the (lol) whole 'i'm UGLY' episode.

Nightstar shook her head to clear it, thick white neck fir rippling. "Sorry," She replied. Then she looked toward the Apprentices' Den. "Come on," She barked, "Let's get back to the den." She trotted across the clearing.

"Sure, uh, ok," she said, trotting outside. SHe saw a few glances turned their way by a few wolves, but nothing else. She calmed down a bit. She walked quickly over to the den, padding softly inside.

"You're back!" Twilight shouted triumphantly. "Where were you?" Cody inquired. "Silversnow's scar is UGLY!" Daystar snorted happily. Nightstar turned to see her friend's reaction to the comment.

Sliversnow whcked him gently on the nose, hard enough to hurt a bit, maybe sting, but not alot. "Like you are on to talk," she said, turning away from him. "We were with Boulder," she said, in response to Cody. "Cause Aqua, she's the one who did this," she said.

"You calling me ugly?" Daystar gasped, but no reply followed. Twilight snorted. "Aqua! She's such a snob. Thinks she's queen of everything, calls herself "the chosen one," bleh! She's certainly not!" The pup rolled her eyes and spoke in a low, dumb voice, dripping with sarcasm. "I'm Aqua-Amythest, the bratty leader of Tribe of the North! I control everything! Bow down to me or you're as bad as Tribe of the South!" Nightstar laughed. "Yeah, that's her in a nutshell."

"I agree,"Silversnow said, swallowing laughter. "You do good imitations," she said enthusiastically with a subtle hint of sarcasm.

"Thanks," Twilight replied smugly. Nightstar grinned. She turned her head to the horizon. "Great Tribe of the Stars, look at the sun! We have to get some sleep!" She excalimed, scurrying into the Apprentices' Den, locating quickly her bundle of moss. She curled up and closed her eyes.

Silversnow layed down in her pile of moss near Nightstar's curling up into a tight ball, her head on her paws.

THE DAY OF THE FIGHTER'S CEREMONY

Nightstar awoke and stretched. It was awkward being in the fairly small Apprentices' Den now. She had grown and trained a lot over the past five seasons. But she didn't need to worry, for tonight she would be sleeping in the Fighters' Den along with Silversnow, Twilight, and Daystar. Cody, Ohzu and David would be moving on into the Hunters' Den. The white wolf---not pup---emerged from the den. Her tail twitched in anticipation.

Silversnow yawned, just waking up. SHe looked around the small den, which had once seemed roomy andbig. She noticed Nightstar wasn't there, and tried to remeber why she was so excited. Her mind was still foggy with sleep, but one thought burst through the haze. Fighters' Ceremony! SH eleapt up, dashing outside and running into her white friend.
