I'm pure Polish and that means I have Slavic ancestors too. But I'm not trying to wrongly convince people on forums that because I have ancestors, I know anything about this ancient religion/culture and eventually know what my spirit guide is. So, just because you come from Cherokees, it doesn't mean you are pure one now. Just like JC said in b. point

lol Well, just for the record, I didn't say or imply anything about the concentration of Cherokee in her blood. She may have full or only partial heritage. But it makes no difference to the topic at hand, because she is not living in the aboriginal Cherokee culture of pre-1838 (the infamous "Trail of Tears"). Or even in the so-called "Golden Age" when, after their forced relocation to the region known today as Oklahoma (then as "Indian Territory"), they began to integrate much of the cultural norms of Europeans.

But that is taking us off-topic. I just wanted to make it clear that I was not inferring anything about her heritage or how much of it is Cherokee or not.

My spirit guide is apparently a horse. The only animal I've taken interest in since I was able to walk.

hmmm, well i know my totem is a wolf, and i feel drawn to wolves.
and i love drawing wolfs.
and i feel as if even though they can't talk, i can almost sense what they are saying inside.
and i have dreams about wolves. once i even had a dream about a pretty black and golden wolf, howling and talking to me.
so, its a wolf!
