Creatures of dusk -- the end has begun (semi-advanced)

Seeing movement in the house that was definetly not the monsters Angel had to make her decision. Whether to blow her cover and risk getting cuahgt out by the evil things or go back to solitude. Solitude, no people, that just was not going to work. Catching her breath and saying a silent prayer she ran across the street, black coif falling from long golden hair and glinting in the street lamp's feeble light. Knocking on the door quielty so as to not attract attention and debating is the windows were safe to break into if she did anyway.
"Please be home, please be kind, please be human" were all she could think as the wind swept through and chilled her in her long grey dress and swirled around her bare ankles above her small fighting shoes.

Noah heard a knock at the door and went to it, spear at the ready. Engaging a chain-lock on the door to keep it from opening more than an inch or two, he opened it slightly. Seeing a girl outside, he closed the door, re-did the lock, and opened it. "Come in, quickly," he urged.
An inhuman screech sounded from the darkness, and with no further bidding he took her hand and yanked her inside, slamming the door as a handful of small creatures made for the door. One got stuck and he had to kick it in the face to get it out.
Turning to the girl, he asked breathlessly, "Are you OK?"

Startled at seeing a human and a human with a weapon Angel stood there for a moment. His grabbing her arm was an even greater shock. She was glad he let go before her reflexes kicked in or a few broken bones might have happened.
"Yes I am fine thank you sir. Startled but otherwise dash it all am I happy to see a human face." Trmebling slightly at the screeching and shifting weight slightly to be certain her knives were all easily useable she smiled and stuck out her hand.
" A pleasure to meet you sir. My name is Lashleyveta but you will want to stick with Angel 'cause I listen to that one a whole lot more often. Pray tell what is your name? Are there others here? Input please."

Noah raised an eyebrow. Was this girl from the 1600s or something? Maybe she lost it from being out around those things for too long, he thought. "Uh, yeah, my name's Noah. And yeah, there are others." Hearing footsteps approaching, he found himself suddenly glad for more company in the presence of this possibly crazy girl. "In fact, here comes someone now."

Opal just smiled and said to Andrea "That's okay, don't worry about it... that's good for you." She got up again, restless, and mumbled something about going downstairs again to see what the boys were up to.

A sound came from downstairs, and furrowing her brow, she hurried down. Really, it could have been one of the guys knocking something down and breaking it - they were good ta that - but she was paranoid. She walked in to find herself staring at Noah and a stranger. She was startled that yet another person - another girl - had showed up.

It seemed the lights int he house attracted them like moths. Trying her best to smile, Opal walked up to them "Hey, who's your friend Noah?"

Seeing that their new friend wasn't saying anything, Noah answered. "Opal, this is, uh..." he struggled to decipher the foreign-sounding name. "Lashley Vega, did you say?" He couldn't be sure. "Anyway, she said she prefers Angel. Angel, this is Opal."
In the midst of the awkward introduction, Noah was thinking again to himself about the importance of finding a new, bigger place to stay.

Chuckling and shaking the dust off of her dress Angel smiled and stuck out her hand to first the boy then the girl.
"Pleasure to meet you Noah, Opal. It is Lashley-Veta. It is russian. Sorry for my outburst but those things are only good dead and you are the first people I have seen since whatever it is happened. are there alot of you here? I have my own place to hide if another person would be too much of a burden on you"
Angel said but she ferevently was praying that she would not have to return there anytime soon without backup. THe journey here without detection had been hard enough.

Noah blushed, but thankfully it was hidden by the poor light and his already dark skin.
"We've, uh, got room for you for the night," he said. "We were thinking of striking out for someplace closer to good supplies tomorrow, maybe near a mall or something."

Angel smiled and pretended not to notice his flustered state of mind that she could read in his speech and responded.
"Thank you, I already checked the actual mall downtown but it has become a breeding ground along with my old apartment building. However my hideout is a small strip mall where I used to work as a seamstress, I can show you guys how to get there tomorrow if you would like." Turning to Opal Angel asked politely,
"Where may I stay the night? Do the girls have seperate areas than the boys? I had to do alot of running and hiding ot get here and could use some rest."

Rosey made her way down the creeky stairs, Running her fingers through her hair. She looked at them all and then the new female. "Oh" she said in shock and then smiled. "Hello, I guess you are new? Im Rosey..." she smiled.

Noah nodded. "Yes, this is Angel. She just got here." Turning to Lashley, he said, "Girls are sleeping upstairs. Us guys have the watch down here."
He frowned at the news about the mall. "Darn, that puts a hole in our plans. OK, we'll go with the strip mall." Meanwhile, his mind was mulling oer possibilities. If the mall was a breeding ground for these things,it might be a good place to work on ways to get rid of them...

"I'll show you a really good way to get around the day monsters without leaving tracks for the night ones to follow. Thank you all, if oen of you could please show me to a room where I could not be in the way, it would be nice." Smiling and inclining her head slightly Angel's hands tucked into her sleeves fiddling for her extra hair scarf and saying goodnight to Noah, following one of the girls upstairs. It would take awhile for her to remeber which girls and boys were which.

Angeliaca sighed. she was stupid! the world was stupid! everything was stupid! human kids vs. big giant monsters. insane! why were they still alive? it was a bad dream. yes, it was a bad dream! when she woke up she'd be in her little shack with Connie underneath her head and her coat drapped over her. she looked around. was she crazzy? this wasn't a dream! or was it? she screamed and burried her head into the pillow.

Connie trotted up the stairs and saw Angelica- sobbing. she walked up to her and licked her hand. "it's ok Angie." she whimpered.

Jack became fed up of laying on the ground. He leaned to the wall and slowly tried to get up. His injured legs still looked bad, but now he felt a bit stronger. He looked over at Noah, Lashley-Veta, and all the others. "Noah?" he asked quietly. " May I stand up for a bit? You know how it feels to just lay on the ground all day long, being pretty much useless. I wanna do something. May I...Help you with something?" he asked again, even though his mind was filled with thoughts about Opal. All he wanted that moment was to see her, even though she pretty much ignored him.

OOC: I guess we can assume everyone slept through the night.
Noah thought for a moment. "You shouldn't move around if you can avoid it," he said. "But there is something you can do." He took out a pocketknife and some wooden rods he had found in the basement. "Think you could make some spears for now? We'll see how you're doing in the afternoon."
