Mike suddenly froze. The man was looking directly at them.
"Hey there little doggies. Haven't seen you around here before. Are you hungry?"
Mike looked at Jamie.
"What do we do?"

She looked at him, " Hold on, I will be back." She said and slowly walked up to the human. She sniffed his hands and she wagged her tail and smiled, " C'mon Mike. It's ok. He won't hurt us." She smiled and licked the man. She begged for food.

Mike slowely walked up to the man. The smell of the caribou filled his nose and made his mouth water. He let the man pat his head and pet his fur. After a moment, the man went inside then returned with two ceramic plates, which he placed a chunk of the caribou on each. He then set the plates down on the deck.
"It's not necissarily done yet, but I think it'll do for you. My goodness. Look at you two. you're nothing but skin and bones. If you wan't more meat, feel free to ask."
The man patted Mike and Jamie for another moment, then went back to tending the meat on the grill.
Mike smiled at Jamie, then began eating the hot, cooked meat hungrily.

She then licked the man and went to go eat the meat, " This is wonderful! Should we live here?" She asked, " I would love to." She said eating.

Mike looked longingly back at the valley they had discovered.
"But Jamie, what about us raising a family? Weren't we planning on creating a pack of our own?

"Thats true. Boy, who would've thought burned caribou would be so good."
he went back to eating the meat.
"Funny, Helga said we'd travel here to find the caribou. Look at what we're eating."
He chuckled again.

Mike finished his meat and stretched. His hunger was satisfied, so he went up to the man and sat next to him, waiting for Jamie to finish. The man began petting him again.
'What good dogs. Wonder if they were anybodys at one point or if they are wild. They seem pretty tame."

Jamie's hunger was also satisfied so she sat by the man on the other side trying to tell him that they were wolves.

Mike was about to follow, but the man grabbed him.
"Where do you think you're going. Get back here!"
Mike panicked.
"Jamie! Help!"

Jamie heard the man and didn't have to be told twice to help Mike. She ran and bit the mans hand which let Mike go and they both ran off into the valley. Jamie saw the man pull out a gun and it was pointing at her, " Mike! Gun!" She dodged the gun shot and so did Mike. They were in the den now and they were both safe, " Hold on, I have to destroy that gun!"
She said and ran back and broke the gun in half. One of the bullets hit her with great force and she fell on the ground. Blood was everywhere. She then limped/ran back to the den.

Mike was at her side immediately. He becan licking her wound and treating it.
"Jamie, you shouldn't have done that. Biting him was enough, but no, you had to go back and destroy the gun. I'm sorry, but that wasn't well thought out."
