Kodi nodded slowly, ears pinning down as Dusty started talking. He hated to relive what he had done.
Tai nodded as well, looking a bit confused. She never really could get her mind around that idea.
Goldie smirked "Then why does it seem it always happens to you guys?" she asked with a light giggle.
Katie chuckled lightly, shaking her head rapidly. "I don't know, to be honest. I just want to go home."

Balto licked Kodi's ear. "Its ok son, she's just fooling, she forgave you like we all did...or are you like her right now? Needing to forgive yourself?"
"But I forgive him." said Dusty. "Its just myself I have trouble forgiving."
"Simple. we're not predators." said Cachen, smiling.
aniu laid beside Katie. "I know, who wouldn't?"

Kodi didn't answer. In fact, he didn't even look at anyone. He wasn't sure, himself; Did he look for forgiveness from himself?
"There's nothing to forgive." Tai said, ears flat "We all forgive you." she said, tail wagging slowly. "Th-Things just happen sometimes."
Goldie rolled her eyes, licking his cheek. "Well, it doesn't matter, I'm sure we'll be okay."
Katie nodded "To be honest, I hope I never meet that person." she chuckled, shaking her head.

Balto put a paw on his son's shoulder. "If you need to forgive yourself, that's something you'll need to find out how to do."
"It isn't that simple." said Dusty. "Sometimes its hard when you know you did something like that to forgive yourself."
"We always are." said Cachen. "Maybe some bruises and scrapes but nothing bad."
"Unless they truely needed to meet you to set themselves straight." said Aniu. "There are some who have reason to run away from home."

Kodi looked down, his face the picture of confusion.
Tai nodded, ears pinned back. "Oh..." she looked up. "Miss Dusty...no one blames you. What happened happened....But if you really need to forgive yourself, maybe this is good for you."
"Oh!" Goldie pretended to be scared, "My big strong Cachen will protect me, won't he?" she fluttered her eyes lightly
Kai held back from laughing, he didn't see his brother as big or strong.

Dusty smiled. "They are right to." she said, smiling. "You are." she said. "I need to talk to your papa, ok?" she asked, seeing Kodi's distress. "Are you alright with that?"
Cachen smiled. "You're the best girlfriend I could ask for."

Kodi looked up, he had just listen to his Dad talk to him, and seemed to come out of a trance. "Am I okay with....what?"
Tai blinked for a moment, and began to look about. A pair of ice blue eyes followed them, and quickly ducked back into the cover of the brush. She rushed up to Balto, looking a bit concerned. "Grandpa...." she said lightly, still looking around.
OOC: I thought by page 16, it'd be good to bring Bashkei in, I can edit it if you don't like it.
"And you're the best boyfriend." Goldie said with a big smile, cuddling into Cachen's fur.

A Raven flew over head and perched on Kodi's back, skawking loudly in his ear.
"Whose there?" asked Balto, confused, making sure the pups were safe behind him.
Dusty looked at the little Raven, confused. "Why did it perch on your back?"

The eyes returned, to gaze at Kodi. The eyes widened, and they looked ot Balto. There was a sniffing noise, before a deep voice radiated the forest. "Aniu...? You must be..." the voice chuckled.
Kai blinked, and turned his head. "That scent....like Mom's...." he murmured to Lena.
Kodi eyes widened, looking at the Raven before looking at his Father. "Dad, that voice! I know that voice!"

Lena's 'gift' gave her a weird feeling as to who this was. "Grandpa?" she asked, not directing it towards Balto. "...Bashkei?

Lena's gift proved right, and from the covering of forest, stepped a leviathan. Basdhkei was a large wolf, and it was hard to see why Katie turned out so small. However, his ice blue eyes radiated kindness. "Ah...My 'guide' was right." he looked to the Raven, then to Kodi. "And it's good to see you're well...Where exactly is my daughter?"

Lena, not showing any fear. "Grandpa...a mean man took momma." she said. "It wasn't papa's fault, he and momma had a fight, they decided to let each other cool off and spend some time a part so they wouldn't split up...again." she said.
"I'm afraid...the first time they split up was my fault." said Dusty, guilty. "I didn't know Kodi had a mate...and maybe flirted a little while Kodi was injuried...But Kodi doesn't deserve you to be mad at him, he was still inmature at that point and you know how kids can be...but he loves Katie with all his heart."
Cachen walked up to his grandfather. "A mean man knocked us all out, when we woke up, Momma was gone...a mean man took her." he said, tears starting down his face.
Balto walked up. "Bashkei, I'm Balto, Kodi's father...I know Kodi isn't exactly what you had in mind for Katie...and they had some rough patches...what relationship doesn't?" he asked. "But Kodi's risked his life to save her and he's doing so right now." he said. "We all care for Katie...she's my daughter-in-law after all."
OOC: I forget, did Fang come with them?

Bashkei looked about his grandchildren, and then to Kodi. His muzzle twitched once, before he chuckled. "I've never had but the utmost respect for Aniu and her family." he glanced at Balto. "I know it wasn't what I had in mind....in fact, that's the reason I stayed away. Your son and didn't get off to a good start." he looked down at all four of his grandchildren, and rubbed Cachen's head with a paw at the sight of tears. "A little birdie led the way. I suppose it decided to bring me to the search party." as Bashkei's eyes roved over the small crowd of faces, his eyes fell upon one; Fang's. "Why, the little pup I found...Fang, isn't it?" he smiled brightly
Kodi could say nothing, but looked at the Raven. There seemed something familiar about it, was it something Balto told him?
Kai stared wide eyed at Bashkei. He had wanted ot know his Grandfather for so long....now, he was here!
