"Well I...my dad he..." said Dusty, having trouble saying what she wanted to. "My dad got rabies when I was very young, he bit my mom and they killed my siblings, luckily the humans saved me at the last minute."
Jenna pushed the meat with her claws and hid it in a hole in the wall. "There. And considering certain animals might be immuned, we can just say its because we're wolfdogs, which mostly isn't a lie, but I'll lie, for all of our sakes."
"Good." said Jarret. "Now go get me some water squirt."

"You sure you'll alright?" Ralph asked with concern.
"Or they pay the price," Saba added with a smile.
"Of couse." Dan grabbed Jarret's water bowl and hurried down the stairs (ignoring the dog), outside, and filled it in the river. He went back just as quickly, but mush more carefully, and set the bowl at Jarret's feet.

Dusty nuzzled Ralph. "Of course I will." she said. "Thanks for caring, that makes me feel better to." she said and kissed him.
"So Kodi, you have anything to say about your family? I mean how you see them." said Sable.
"In fact, I say we pay them back." said Jenna. "Tonight, as we sneak out, lets put that tainted meat back with their meat, one of them is bound to eat it..." she said. She smirked. "I'm actuelly starting to like being back to my mischievious self, its rather fun." she said. "Lets dump a can of pink paint on Steele when we get home, you like that idea?"

Kodi shrugged. "I don't really see them the way everyone else does. Like, everyone sees my dad and thinks of the great heroic Balto that saved Nome. And me? I just see my dad."
"And some glitter," Rose said with a sly smile on her face. "Mixed with paste so he had a harder time getting it off!" The ideas just kept flowing.
Saba was still staring wide-eyed at her mom. "Mom. I've never seen this side of you." She smiled. "I'm liking it."

Balto let out a sigh of relief. "And here I was thinking you thought that way!" he said. "That's a relief! Now I don't have to think I'll crush you if I fail at something."
Jenna chuckled. "Steele doesn't." she said. "Burned his butt." she said. "Well I'm sure I told you that story." she said. "Think that big lug upstairs will fall for some clever lieing?"

Fang looked at May. "You know...I wish I could do that with my dad...you know if he changed." he said, pinning his ears.
"He seems smarter than the others, he'll figure out what I'm doing but I don't think he'll tell." said Jenna. "I mean I have a knack for seeing the true heart of a dog, no matter how they try to hide it or even if they don't know its there."
