Balto chuckled. "But I didn't and you're both happy today."

Cachen scratched. "I know, I can't stand fleas."

Fang nodded. "He's more like a wolf, that much is true though he has you and your father's sense of right."

Lena shook her head no, indacating she didn't have an owner.

"Well theres your anwser for her, I don't think they do sense we probably would of seen them in for vacinations and such." said the assistent.

Jenna nodded. "That's good, isn't it?" she grinned.

Kai nodded. "Neither can I"

Tai giggled, looking as Lena shook her head.

Kodi nodded, giving a slight laugh. "I know, It's amazing isn't it? Yet, My Father doesn't like to fight."

The doctor laughed, making his way past the small group with a grin. "well, aren't you smart." he turned. "I'll get them to the boiler room."

Balto chuckled. "I know, I don't know what I'd do if I'd failed."

Cachen chuckled hearing the doctor. "I think he wants us to follow him." he said and ran over to the doctor.

Fang nodded. "Yeah but he still beat my dad and he didn't fight back, that's impressive."

Lena chuckled, loving the attention.

The assistent nodded. "I'll get the supplies to give them a flea bath and a check up. I can tell just looking though they've got quite a bit of muscle." he said heading to get the supplies.

Jenna smiled, looking up at Balto. "I'd still be with you, that's what."

Kai nodded, casually getting up and behind Cachen.

Tai smiled, getting up to follow the Doctor as well.

Kodi chuckled, giving a soft nod. "It happens right?" she asked.

The doctor nodded, tapping the side of his leg. "C'mon, then." he called nd began to walk.

Jenna noded, walking about with a smile, until she found a few shads sticking out form udnerneath the snow. She carefully dug them up, sitting down by the small pile of broken glass.

Kai walked closely behind Cachen.

Tai smiled, sticking clsoe to the Doctor as well, tail curling upward.

Kodi nodded, giving some light shrugs. "Well...yea..." he said.

The doctor smiled, keeping her warm in strong arms. He leaned down to her ear. "Hey, little one, how'd you like to live with me?" he asked, almost half expectign an answer.

Jenna smiled, looking up at Balto. "You said that to me the first time you showed me." she could almost swear, she saw a younger Balto right in front of her, as if looking back into the past.

Kai nodded, looking up at Lena with a slight smile.

Tai nodded. "I know, and i'm happy for her too." she said, still smiling widely.

Kodi nodded. "Ah, then there's Katie...You know, out of everyone you've met, I think she cared for you the most." he tilted his head. "Sometimes, I can swear you remind me of her, with your wolf side and all."

The doctor chuckled, regretably setting Lena down into the boiler room. "there you go." he said.

Jenna smiled, leaning up and licking her mate's cheek. "Oh, Balto..." she looked up at the lights, displayed so beautifully.

Tai nodded, sitting down beside her sister. "He certainly likes animals." she giggled.

Kodi nodded, putting a paw on Fang's shoulder. "I'm glad you're proud. You should be. Took my Dad awhile but not he's as proud to be a wolfdog as you are."

The doctor smiled, waiting by the door for his assistant, just in case.

Balto licked her back. He might of been older, his fur had gotten gray with age but he still had a strong build, he stayed a stray and thus was in good shape. "I'll always love you Jenna." he nuzzled her.

Cachen nodded to Tai. "And he's a smart human, if Lena gets hurt and he can help her." he said to Kai and Tai.

Fang nodded. "I know, its not the wolf half I'm ashamed of, its were I got most of my dog half."

Lena looked at her sister, eyes bright with joy. "He wants me sis, a human wants me." she said, her soul so full of happyness.

The assistent came in with a tub and what was needed for a flea bath. "So are you planning to keep this little one? She's a beutiful pup." he said, petting Lena's head. "I check around, no one owns theses pups but one things for certain, they're Kodi's, you can tell that just looking."

Jenna smiled, placing a paw over Balto's, always taking note of how strong her mate was. All the muscles..."Oh, Then that makes two of us." she said softly, enjoyign the moment.

Tai nodded, tail curling around her paws. "That's right." she said.

Kodi nodded. "not to be mean, but I kinda have to side with you. I can understand why you'd be ashamed of your dog heritage...Your um Dad and all."

The doctor nodded, taking the large tub an placing it inbetween all the pups. "Yes. She looks like she'd need a good home." he smiled, putting flea powders and bath mixes itno the tub.

Balto nodded. "I can't believe its been what three years?" he asked.

Cachen nodded. "Kai, what do you think? Lena pick a good human?"

Fang bit his lip. "I know he's an egomaniac and the worst dog that's ever lived in Nome but part of me can't stop thinking there has to be good deep down in his heart."

Lena was so happy, she could swear she'd never been so happy. She finally had a human, she wasn't ashamed to be part wolf but she was the pup that always wanted to live with a loving human and she finally had it.

The assistent nodded and got a hose, filling the tub. "Though she also looks like she will need a lot of exerise, she looks energatic." he said. "Want me to get her a collar?"
