As Carlos was searching for anymore rabbits in the undergrowth, Josh just looked back at Yansalin, listening in on their conversation. "Hm..." He then thought for a while before he finally sighed and shook his head, thinking that he should talk to her and see what's on her mind.

Yansalin shook her fur. Never again. she just made friends. She had to strenghten her guard form now on. what if someone she trusted asked? Could she lie again? Friends weren't supposed to lie. Shew sighed. She was in trouble. Thanks, Mom, she thought angrly. You ruined my life. Ya happy now?

Carlos just shrugged and sat up. "Well, I hope we'll find something," he said. He then sniffed around a bit more before getting up again. "Hm... Hey, let's go check over there!" he said, pointing to the border. "I'm sure we can find something good on the other side." And with that, he started walking towards the border to the forest.
Josh just had to know, so he just sighed and quietly sat down next to Yansalin. He then cleared his throat before he asked, "So, is there something that want to talk about? You know that I'm here, and whatever you say, I'll think no differently of you. And that's a true promise!"

Akita followed Carlos into the other side of the border. The first time she had crossed the border, she had not noticed the immediate change between the two territories. Unlike Star Pack land, the Fire Pack dogs seemed to life easily. All the trees were green and the grass was soft, a long cry from the dying trees and dirt of Star Pack. Akita could smell the healthy prey, a scent she hadn't smelled in a long time. She looked around at the trees and all the greenery in wonder.

Josh just nodded without any further hesitation. He really wanted to know what was on Yansalin's mind. And besides, he starting to feel really close to the new she-wolf...
Carlos looked back towards Akita and gave her a slight smile. He then sighed and said, "Isn't it beautiful? I've always been fond of our territory, but it was only peaceful whenever Belladonna wasn't around. That always made my life more easier, but..." His voice suddenly drifted away with another heavy sigh, stopping to look over the valley ridge and out into the world below. "I guess nature is just different that way," he finally added with a shrug. "But who knows? Probably nobody even cares as of right now...."

Yansalin closed her eyes and turend her head. She couldn't bear to see Josh's face when he found out. "Promise not to tell anyone?" she continued before she lost her nerve, "My mother is Belladona!"

Josh just went wide-eyed for a moment, but he finally calmed himself down and let out a sigh before looking back up at Yansalin with a slight nod. "I understand now," he said, looking deep into her eyes. "And...I promise. By my life!"
