Here is a idea...what if insted of sending the petition through E-mail or whatever, Have someone or a handfull of fans in Florida, deliver the petition in person. I would think by doing that, that will give Universal an impression and it will leave them with a better understanding that people really want this DVD to happen. But I think that the more people you have doing this in person, the bigger the statement will be.

Honestly I'm in for whatever. That sounds better than an on-line petition because seriously, they can easily by pass e-mails. In person, the fact that they GO THERE in person shows a lot more than an e-mail with words and numbers.
GAH I can't believe it's already almost last year that I said here that I wanted to have this movie before Christmas...SIGH

I signed. Also, I sent the petition to my friends, my friends' friends, my friends' friends' acquaintances, my ex-friends, my ex-friends' ex-friends, and so on. All-in-all, hwoever, only about twenty people actually signed it.

We sent the previous petition by regular mail, and it did have a little effect because we actually got an answer to it (something that most petitions never get, in fact) Although I agree that giving it in person would have a better effect. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that many people here would be able to do this.

I signed the petition when i first joined. however, i thought we got news awhile ago pretty much telling us that there won't be a fourth movie made. Is this something i read wrong, or is everyone still fighting even though we have our answer?

That answer was for our previous petition, which was different : it didn't ask specifically for one thing, only to get Balto more popular. The new petition aims at getting a Special Edition DVD. Besides, Universal gave that answer almost 3 years ago now, so we can try again. I will not send the petition until it gets at least 2000 signatures though, whatever the time it takes.

I'll sign it! And we could help Universal with the cover! We could hold a cover contest for it! I'll also spread the word! I can make posters, to put on deviantART, and T-shirts. EDIT The T-shairts would be so that if you all did go to Universal, you all could wear them. First, you all would need to pick a color. Then send me the text and pictures, and also, you will have to supply the shirts and get the iron on paper, but I could make the actual images.

I totally agree that there should be a special edition dvd!
-If I remember correctly, the special features soley included: a dumb game where all you have to do is click on the siluette of a sled dog except Steele. D< -You're right, the cover IS terrible. Why couldn't they keep the vhs cover art? And wtF is with "brown Jenna"?!?!?! -if Disney had not released Oliver and Company on special edition dvd, I probably never would have watched it again. If it weren't for Balto Source, I wouldn't have watched Balto again, either, let alone know about the sequals! D:
Alas, I don't think Universal will do it no matter how many signatures we get. There aren't enough people buying the Balto dvd's as it is.
