Duke paused and kept his eyes on the pup, as if to pretend he didn't hear anything. "..You heard that..? he asked quietly.

Warbler nodded, glancing at the bush.
"I think..maybe it was the wind?" She asked, knowing there wasn't a breeze today.

"..move Boon into the den with Gwen.." he said quietly. "In case it wasn't the wind.."

Egg · **Posted:** Sun Oct 16, 2011 3:20 pm

Warbler nodded, picking up Boon and gently placing him into the den beside his sister.
"Do you smell anything?" She asked warily.

xWolfPrincex · **Posted:** Sun Oct 16, 2011 3:23 pm

Duke nodded. "That scent again...the one that was one Boon....and my mom."

Egg · **Posted:** Sun Oct 16, 2011 3:51 pm

Warbler growled, and lifted her snout.
"Come OUT!" She barked, her voice echoing.

xWolfPrincex · **Posted:** Sun Oct 16, 2011 3:54 pm

Duke paused as the bushes shook. She growled, seeing the edge of a shadow move back further in the bush.

Egg · **Posted:** Sun Oct 16, 2011 3:59 pm

"I swear if you dont come out right now I'll drag you out!" She snarled protective of her pups.

xWolfPrincex · **Posted:** Sun Oct 16, 2011 3:59 pm

The bush shook again and the shadow shrunk away, disappearing.

Egg · **Posted:** Sun Oct 16, 2011 4:02 pm

Warbler, enraged, dashed into the bushes, snapping onto the visitor's scruff, and yanking it hard backwards.

xWolfPrincex · **Posted:** Sun Oct 16, 2011 4:06 pm

"Warbs wait!" Duke called jumping to his feet.
The shadow yelped in surprise, but being bigger by a lot, he managed to jump to his feet and quickly move into the shadows, so only his eyes were visible.

Egg · **Posted:** Sun Oct 16, 2011 4:09 pm

Warbler ignored Duke, and she trotted after the wolf, steaming mad.
"GET BACK HERE." She snarled.

xWolfPrincex · **Posted:** Sun Oct 16, 2011 4:12 pm

The wolf maneuvered under bushes and over fallen trees until he got to a slanted tree, which he crouch then lept up, grabbing a branch a disappearing as he climbed up and up.

Egg · **Posted:** Sun Oct 16, 2011 4:14 pm

Warbler watched him jump up, and tried to repeat his maneuver. She huffed with annoyance when she could get up.
"I know you were with Khonny! You touched my son! WHO ARE YOU!"

xWolfPrincex · **Posted:** Sun Oct 16, 2011 4:16 pm

The stranger only stared down at her, not answering and not even daring to make a decent.
