Halina got worried when he couldn't find him. She tried to start sniffing his scent out.

"Mom!" Vanessa called loudly as she came running down the street toward Halina.

Halina jumped hearing Vanessa call, she turned around wondering what is important right now.

"Mom, it's Simon!" Vanessa barked, her ears flat against her head.

Halina was soon alert and quickly spoke, "What is it? Where is he? What happened?!"

"I dunno!" Vanessa barked, turning around. "Follow me! I found him this morning!" She said as she dashed back toward the woods.

Halina put her ears back, "This isn't good..." she mumbled following her.

Vanessa led Halina to the edge of a creek where Simon lay, beaten and bruised. He was covered in wounds and had dried blood all along his pelt.

"SIMON!" she yelled quickly feeling a tear come in the corner of her eye as she ran over to him and nudged him. "Pleasee... don't be dead..."

Simon was breathing, but he had obviously gotten into some kind of fight.

Halina soon jumped onto the water and pushing the water onto his fur. trying to dry the blood off of him.

"Is..is he okay?" Vanessa whimpered, her ears flat against her head.

Halin a looked up while grabbing more water to push onto his fur to get the blood off. "I don't know..." she said worriedly and once she got most of the blood gone she grabbed him and got her onto her back. "Come on, We need to get him to the vet."

Simon mumbled when she moved him, groaning in pain.
"Stop!" Vanessa nudged her mom. "Put him down! You're hurting him!"

"Van, he is like the only person I got left as a friend. I don't want him to die..." she said tears starting to swell up in her eyes as she finally got him onto her back.
