I don't think it's very nice to HATE Aleu, it's better just to say you strongly dislike her instead. But I think Aleu is a interesting character. I am also an Aleu fan and I respect everyone's opinion on this topic, but Aleu as most of you all are saying is dumb and ugly, which she is not! Despite of the horrible animation of WQ, It was a very good movie that teaches that we can connect with our inner spirits and following your heart. You do not have to like Aleu but don't hate her it is not her fault she was angry at her dad for lying to her, besides,would'nt you be angry at your parents if they kept a secret from you your whole life and had to lie? Balto was just trying to protect his daughter. But as it said on the back of the movie VHS/DVD case Aleu is headstrong. Which means she is stubborn and willful and does'nt want anything to get in her way. She has feelings and emotions just as we do.And heres one thing that REALLY makes me angry, just because Aleu has the same personality as Kiara does'nt mean she is'nt a original character. It's called a movie comparison. DUH! She is just angry that she does'nt get a human family like her brothers and sisters. How would you feel if that happened to you? I like Aleu and that is my opinion.

I must say I agree completely. I mean, seriously, people! think about it! If all your siblings got something you wanted, and you didn't, then your parents lied about the reason all your life before finally admitting truth, wouldn't you be mad, sad, heartbroken, etc.?!

I agree too Kavik, great post ! Alue is my third favorit character after Balto then Aniu!
No offence to anyone but I disagree with hating anyone, human or animal unless they have done something truly mean or selfish without a good reason that goes for evil too.

granted Aleu wasn't my fav char...or even close....but i wouldN'T say i ''hate'' her.
i just find her annoying and insolent. but yes, i'll agree that she's MUCH better than Stella

I think she was a little selfish and rude at some points in the movie.

Of course she acted insolent,and annoying,Aleu had the truth kept from her.

Aleu's alright I think, =D. I mean, she's definitely not my character type or anything, but I wouldn't go as far as saying that I hated her, not even to say dislike, =/. I think I'm at more of a neutral state I guess. I don't know, Balto is the one that really just drives me to love the series, so I'm kinda bias for him and his character, ^^". I respect why people would like Aleu though, I can definitely see why at many points in the movie, <3.

Actually, I'm a little new to the Balto fanbase, so I didn't really know there was hatred toward this character, XD.

@ Blur: it's not like we have a hate-club for Aleu :3 , i think most who don't care for her
just tend to think she's just like the spoiled younger sibling we can't stand who overreacts over something so trivial.
she wouldn't be such a bad character if (i think) she didn't act so childish. then again, that may be something that some people like about her.

XD, I didn't think that you guys had a hate club, just something that a majority people leaned toward, ^^. I'll admit, I actually watched this movie for my first time last night, so I probably need to watch it again tonight to pay attention to the closer details, =3. Just gotta find a way to watch Balto 3 now, XP.

CNN Newsflash: He's the bad guy, its like an ironclad rule for him to be xD Not the main character that's given the impression that s/he is the all-round good guy. Its like Charlie Barkin, he's the main character, but he's such a friggen jerk throughout the movie he's practically the bad guy (yeah, he changes, but that's character development.)
