Pat landed with an OOF and got up quickly, Greene next to him, both charging the man at the same time.
"Who are you?!?" Greene snarled, grabbing the mask on the man's face and urgently trying to pull it off.

Fwip!

The mask of the snarling wolf was torn off, but even as Greene grasped it in his paws, the man seethed with anger.

On his face was a pale white complexion, full of youth yet also maturity, and he had dark and slanted brown eyes, colored deep and vast as the very essence of nature itself. Underneath his hooded cloak could be seen hair of the darkest brown, long and thick as it drapped over his angered face.

You could tell he was a teenager, still... He almost didn't resemble one.

"HOW... DARE... YOU!!" he wailed, gouging his fists into the Furry's chest, sending him hurling into the castle walls.

Greene tossed the mask against the snowed, gasping for breath before laughing.
"A teenager?!" He said, kicking the kid hard in the chest and holding him down with his foot. Pat chuckled and walked over., sitting on his legs to keep him from moving.

"CEASE...!!" he yelled, and as he lifted up his hand, it began to pulsate with a dark aura. A horrible moaning ensued therein, even as the youth choked in pain.

"Shadow Rain!!" he screamed, and suddenly the sky was aglow with an eerie light. If one looked to the skies, one would see dozens... no. Countless falling stars, coated and saturated in the power of Darkness, falling straight for the two Furries!

"Ah ha HAAAA!!" he laughed, disappearing into a corridor of darkness to escape the bedlam that would soon follow.




"Hmm, now?" Cell thought aloud, looking out one of his large windows. "What the-- What's going on?!"

Greene frowned and watched him leave before grabbing Pat's hand and running after him.

"Greene! Pat!" came a familiar voice. The castle doors opened, and there stood Cell, Mango clinging to his feet. "This isn't the Trial of Games! If you die here, you're not going to come back!" he hollered, pointing to the flaming meteors descending from the skies.

"You must find a way to reflect them! That will dispel their power, and render Z'reoth defenseless!" he stated, referring to the dark brown-haired youth. "He won't be able to hide away in the corridors of darkness for a brief time!" Cell instructed, but the forboding forces of darkness pushed him back!

"It's up to you two!" he echoed one last time, but all fell silent as the doors were slammed shut by an unseeable force.

The intensity of the air heated up, and moment by moment, the Shadow Rain comets were plunging down!

"AW FUUUC*!!" Pat yelped, dodging one of the meteors.
"C'mon we gotta stay under the roof of the castle!!" Greene ordered.

Crash!

Boom!!

The Shadow Rain meteors were falling endlessly now, and that wasn't a good sign. It seemed like as they fell and smashed into debris, they vanished into puffs of shadowy fire, and began reappearing higher in the sky, only to repeat the cycle and rain down again.

Their target remained clear: Greene and Pat.

"Heheh... We shall see how much Haruki means to you now..." came Z'reoth's muttering from the shadows.




"OOH SH**!" Cell screamed, holding his head. "THOSE STUPID METEORS ARE RUINING MY CASTLE!"

Greene frowned and looked at the sky, before glancing at the Lon dark corridor, before making a mad dash to it. Pat yelped and followed, both disappearing into it after Z'eroth.

"Hm?" Z'reoth thought, turning to see Greene and Pat approaching him closer and closer by the second!
"Hmph! You dogs do not know when to call it quits!" he scoffed, materalizing his sickle-blade in his hands once more. He braced himself.

"Why won't you just DIE already?!" Greene asked angrily, grabbing the first thing that reache hid hands- a chair, and hurling it at Z'eroth.

Z'reoth dodged it effortlessly, traces of darkness following his movements, and upon letting out a sigh, shook his head.
"One: you could never hope to kill me, and two: have you forgotten this is a test?" he said slowly. "Unless you can prove to me that the impossible can be changed, I simply will not budge."

"What does that even MEAN?!" Pat demanded, his voice cracking. Greene nodded in agreement.
"Ehat are we supposed to DO?"

"You two really are imbeciles..." Z'reoth scoffed, rolling his eyes once. He outstretched his gauntlet, and within the twinkling of an eye, the meteors were dispelled.
"However, you two seem genuinely concerned at the safety of Haruki, so I shall aid you in your quest." he said in his deep, mature voice. "...Just until he is safe, however. No longer." he quickly interrupted, and with a flash, the three were once more at the doors of the castle.

"We've had a failure to communicate, so as dogs like you do so often, let me bark first; you may call me Z'reoth. It is what most people refer to me as..."

Greene and Par looked around in amazement and then back to Z'eroth.
"So where is he?"
"And what do you mean by 'bark first'?"
