"I will, thanks." she quickly turned away and was about to go into the den, but couldn't. If there was someone she could confide in, it was Alonzo. "Alonzo," she said, turning and catching up with him. "I have to tell you something."

Shani breathed in deep and described her dream. "That's why I was acting peculiar." she confessed. "The Great Kings and Queens don't trust you, and I can't do anything to change their minds." Shani looked away, hiding her sadness. "Forgive me, Alonzo."

Shani had never felt more guilty in her life. She had just sent off her sister's love of her life just because of a prophecy from her great-grandmother. That is ridiculous. she thought to herself. How can him and Sauda being together destroy the pride? She wnt to break the news to Sauda, and then stopped in her tracks. She thought about how heart-broken Sauda would get if she found out. I can't let this happen. Shani turned and ran in the direction Alonzo had left in. She ran with all her might untill she finally saw a grey-brown shape in the distance. Without stopping for breath, she called out to him.

Shani shook her head. "You have to come back." she said. "You make my sister happy, and that's all I care. I don't care if the Great Kings and Queens don't trust you, but I do. Come back, please." Her voice was pleading now, as she looked at him, trying to tell him of how seeing Sauda sad would hurt her.

Shani looked at him. "Sure you can" she said. "People can be mislead. Maybe the Great Kings and Queens were wrong about you." she looked him over. "They are wrong."

"That was before." she said. "All of them, excluding Chaka, trust you. They all want you back."

"Hold on a second, Mister." Shani snapped, her eyes blazing with anger. She caught hold of him and turned him around. "Have you ever heard that you should always follow your heart, no matter where it leads you? Well, your heart lies with Sauda, here. I know that, because Sauda is my sister, and I've never seen her more than before in my entire life. I won't let it end, no matter what the consequences. I'm taking you back, no matter whether you like it or not."

Sauda looked at him. "Alonzo?" she asked, her voice filled with happiness. She nuzzled him, tear stains shown on her face. "Don't ever leave me again like that." she said. She looked at Shani as she and Alonzo nuzzled. Shani dipped her head, and turned to confront Chaka.
