Randi perked her ears Amd sighed.
"Yeah Kennels are scary..like...what if you gotta go to the bathroom!?" She wkndered.

"Yea," Neol nodded. "And if you do go in the kennel by accident they get mad at you!"

"I mean where else are we supposed to go?" Randi said with a laugh, before yelping when another loud clap of thunder sounded.

Neol jumped when she yelped and looked out the door toward the sky. "Hm.." he looked around. "Is there like..a pile of hay in here somewhere?" he asked. "Cause..if there is when can crawl in it..and then we wont be able to hear the thunder as much.."

Randi looked to her left and there was a large wooden ladder, and at the top of the platform was a large mound of hay.
"Up there.."

Neol looked up to the latter. "Hmm, let's go." he said, moving over to it.

Randi stood shakily and trotted up the ladder with ease.

Neol climbed up the latter quickly but carefully. He glanced around at the loft and saw the pile of hay. "It's perfect." he decided. "Come on."
He flicked his tail and padded over, burying his way into the large pile, leaving only his tail visible.

Randi stood there for a moment, before following Neol. She snuggled herself up in the hay, and looked at Neol.

The thunder boomed above them, but wasn't as loud because of their hay cover.
"See?" Neol smiled. "Works like a charm."

Randi thumped her tail and nodded, looking happily at Neol.
"Yeah..Thanks!"

Neol nodded, "Its nothin." he said.

Randi sighed and lay her head down in the hay.
"Soo..Why're you so shy, around people i mean..You're so fun when you talk!" She chimed.

Neol shrugged. "I dunno..i mean..Momma said that's lots of bad people in this world.."

Randi nodded, laying her head back down.
"Yeah..I didn't never meet my momma." She admitted.
