I'm sure Egyptians would like sell you sand in a desert... xD Though the ones in Assuan weren't as annoying as in Luxor for example, but the worst were in Edfu temple and Valley Of Kings. Though the ones who didn't want to sell you anything or expected to get money from you seemed quite nice. Anyways, I took much more photos on my trip. I may upload them later.

New pics, new pics from yesterday! With some cloud photos for Mighty.
1. This grayish-green tree frog I noticed popping its head up over the edge of my car door on the way home from work. LOL I stopped, got out, photographed him twice (next shot below as well), then set him loose safely in a nearby tree. Had to be cooler (temp-wise) than the surface of my dark-colored vehicle. (There's that darned "wildlife explosion phenomenon again. lol)
2. The remains of a storm...two pics of the sky thereafter...(the cloud in the second photo was massive - had to be at least a mile high if not more! The photo, in spite of my poor editing skills, does not do it justice!)
3. A couple of shots of yesterday as the sun was setting. The aforementioned remains of a big storm to hit the area left some interesting clouds for the last light of the setting sun to play off of...

No, they're not already tamed. And we bought this mouse from Petmart. Maybe some places tame them, I don't know.
Most reliable places will sell hand-raised rodents which are not prone to bite (unless held too roughly or tightly, or spooked). Allegedly Petsmart is that way.
I'd say you got a defective mouse. lol Did you save the receipt?

lol The shots of Sammy are nice! The one of the hawk would be a bit better if you could find a way to focus on him or get him while he was perched.
If I may offer a suggestion regarding cloud photography?
General pictures of clouds tend to be rather bland. Unless you can spot a really stunning or interesting formation, especially with some curious or fascinating definition within its structure (swirls or billows of vapor, feathery trails, etc.), and interesting colors, and then can focus in on them and frame them with or without landscape features, it will improve your photos. Also watch the settings on the camera...good settings can make a photo of this kind great...incorrect or poor settings can make the photo very blah.
Also, try more sunsets or sunrises...or midday shots when the clouds are forming interesting structures. These are usually the greatest times to snap photos of clouds. During the sunsets and sunrises, the way the atmosphere is refracting the sun's light make for an amazing color palette, and the clouds usually respond very nicely. Midday, when you have a nice, sunny day, and if the clouds are cooperating, you can also get some interesting captures.
Just some suggestions...

Yeah, my camera loses quality when I use the 7x zoom with far away objects (though I knew that this photograph wouldn't turn out, they were quite high). But I did manage a year ago to photograph a hawk (and that was just out of luck, I didn't even know what what it was in the tree, that's why I took a picture of it) perched outside my window. http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/7147/hawkp.jpg Again, it's not the best quality (the screen on my window is the blame lol)... But after that I've been interested in photographing hawks. It's just that hawks are hard to photograph. You have to be in the right place at the right time.
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll be sure to keep them in mind. (=

I think one thing you need to do for sure is stop shooting out of that window. lol Get outside! Explore! Half of taking good shots is walking around and seeking inspiration! You cannot do that from the living room.
