The boat reached the shore and Gatomon was the first to climb out. Pricking her ears, she took a step in the direction of the chanting, waiting for the others to follow.
Gabumon and William climbed out after her, Lia behind them. Gabumon made sure not to touch the water, but almost got soaked as the boat shifted. "That was close." He muttered.
Terriermon and David waited for the others to get out first, so they would go last.

Gatomon got down on all fours and padded into the forest. The thick undergrowth kept good cover as she listened intently to the chanting. Turning left, she heard the chanting get louder and soon came to a dip in the forest. Down below, there was a clearing, surrounded by rock that sloped down. The slope was steep, and anyone who accidentally fell would be seriously injured or even killed. Peering towards the far end of the clearing, Gatomon saw the huge Cerberumon, gazing out at the swarm of Gigimon.
Terriermon crawled up beside her and motioned for the others to be silent and keep down, out of view of the Cerberumon and Gigimon.

Gatomon lowered her big ears and pressed them against her head, careful not to be seen. As she watched, one of the Gigimon dragged an injured Koromon over to the Ceberumon. "I told you it was some sort of ritual!" Gatomon gasped, wondering what was going to happen to the poor Koromon.

"There's nothing we can do." William whispered, "None of us are strong enough to fight all of them off."
The Gigimon moved back to its place in the ranks, leaving the terrified Koromon at the feet of the Cerberumon. The evil looking Digimon looked down at the Koromon, baring it's teeth. "Hellfire!" He yelled without warning, engulfing the Koromon in flames. The Koromon's data shatter and the new formed Digi-Egg floated off into the sky.
"He's killing innocents!" Gatomon exclaimed quietly.
