Nika flicked her tail once and had most of the pack next to her as they awaited the answer from the new female. Nika knew she wasn't a threat, she was all alone while Nika had a army behind her, she stood no chance. Nika could hear the sounds of jaws snapping and growls jumping from throats.

Rowan let out a small and quiet laugh towards Nisha, but kept it short so Nika, or the intruder, wouldn't hear it.

"I'm Matya," she introduced herself, her voice unusually quiet. It was most likely due to the low growl she could hear emenating from some of the dogs. Some of her friendly nature vanished, to be replaced by apprehension and a small ammount of actual fear. She quickly realized she would be dog food if the decided that they didn't want her around.

Roki didn't stand up like most of the pack, he stayed at his position by the tree. His eyes were interested though, and his ears were perked and listening intently.

Nika turned to her pack and blinked once, letting them know to stay where they were. She trotted up to the female and circled her once, a few excited growls coming from behind her, her pack wanted to kill, they wanted the taste of innocent blood on their jaws once again. She sniffed the female, she smelled of medicines "Whats your purpose, whats your skill?" She asked, wondering if she knew anything about medicie or the herbs that inhabited the forest.

Matya blinked, intimidated by the female. She somehow managed to answer anyways. "I've been healing other for a while now, and Iknow most of the herbs in the forest," she said slowly, stuttering over a few words in her nervousness.

Nika stopped infront of her, ears perked and one brow arched in intrest. But her mind was focused on how scared this female was, it made her lips tremble with the thought of the chase. "You may be of use to us, I am Nika, Alphess of Leathal pack." She straightened her body and flicked her left ear, signaling the pack to calm themselves at once, the stranger was not a squeeky toy, she was going to be the one that saved their lives. "Would you like to join, we are in great need of a dog with your experiance." She kept her voice formal, to let the female know they were not friends yet and she was not off the hook.

Rowan let out a loud growl as Nika flicked her ear, angered at the thought of not being able to kill the dog, the pack hadn't had a good chase since they lived in the city. "Sometimes I wonder if Nika is even Tomoyo's pup!" A young male exclaimed, his eyes fiery for the same reason Rowan's were. Rowan turned and leaped on the male, his muzzle only a inch away from his, eyes hard and cold. "Don't you ever speak of Nika in such a way! Of course she is Tomoyo's daughter!" He slashed the male's face to let him know he was serious. The male unsteadily got up from under Rowan and ran behind a tree to whimper in pain. Rowan sighed, his eyes on his paws, carefull not to look at Nisha, he knew the punishment he had given to the young male was slight harsh, but with all the pack is gong to be going through the pack needs to be united and they must trust their Alphess.

Matya's eyes widened as she saw a younger dog get clawed by another male. She swallowed against her dry mouth. From her perspective, joining seemed to be the only way she could get out of losing her life. "T-thank you," she said, the stutter lingering in her voice. "I would be h-honoured."

Nisha kept her voice firm as she looked at Rowan, keeping this busneiss first. "Rowan, now is not the time to be wounding able packmates that can hunt for the wounded." Turning back to Nika and the new dog named Matya, she seemed to speek wisely, which she didnt do often. "Matya...this pack...this life style will spill blood. It has always spilled blood, this part you want to play in this pack will be harsh, it will be disheartening, and it might just be the last thing you ever do. But it will be also the greatest thing you could ever do, the best place you could ever be. But unless you can handle bloodstained paws, you will become these eager dogs chew toy." She looked at Nika and dipped her head for speaking out of turn but she turned and went back to the group.

Talon stayed were he was, but his muscles were tense incase the new canine tried to do anything to his Alpha...and his mate. He would never lose Nika again, he swore it to himself.

Nika nodded and smiled softly at Nisha "I agree, thank you Nisha." Her smile was warm like always once she turned to Matya. "You must understand that now you are a Leathal member we are your family, we are here to protect and care for you, and you the same for us, but if you turn your back on us, your life will be lost." Her smile faded to a more serious stance. Nika placed her paw on the female's shoulder, face lighting up again "Welcome Matya." She nodded, the pack letting out a howl that formed into one, twenty mutts howling in unison, beautiful.

Rowan still forced himself not to look at her "I-I, Well I just kinda lost it, it won't happen again.." He muttered, looking up at her.

Matya was glad to hear they wouldn't turn her into a chew toy, but the thought she was unable to back out of this was undeniably a scary one to the frightened young dog. A howl rang through the air, soon joined with the others'. It resulted in a throaty, haunting howl. At least, it seemed that way to Matya.

Nisha moved and nuzzled Rowan gently, "Its ok, relax Rowan...I would have done the exact same thing." She smiled at him, her golden eyes seeming to sparkle.

Rowan smiled affectiontly. "Thanks Nisha." His tail wagging slowly.

The howling ceased and the pack scattered back to their spots, a few of the pack members lingering about near Nika, waiting to hunt. Nika sighed, she couldn't just leave the new dog alone with her pack, and she needed to see how Matya hunting, or if she even could, anyways. "COme with us, we are going to hunting." Her eyes looked softly on the female, not wanting to intimidate her anymore than needed.

Rowan looked over at Nika and the hunting party, he could only hope they would bring back enough food. The whole pack needed a good hunt, to take off the stress and the anger from the fact they couldn't turn Matya into a pile of bones like they would've wished.

Matya nodded slowly. The Alpha's eyes had softened somewhat, and the golden relaxed fractionally. A hunt didn't sound to terrible, though she wouldn't be doing the killing. She was glad to let someone else take that job.

Roki stood up. A hunt would be good for the young husky, it would take is mind of Amaya, and he could meet this new packmate.

Ooc:// Xavier will be Matya's helper, he knows more about the other packs and how the woods work so he could help Leathal.

"Traitor!" They spat at him, sharp sticks flinging at his hind as he fled for the safety of the trees. The late Autumn leaves nearly illuminated against the sunlight, letting a warm orange glow fall on his black and gold pelt. The male's intense dark eyes scanned about, only to see the female along with her hunting party, the female he had seen leading her large pack into the woods just the other day. "Hmm, this could be interesting.." he murmured under his breath as he ran towards the group.

Nika ran in the lead of her packs, legs outstretched as if she was trying to take flight, leaving everything behind. But her mind was snapped back to reality as she was struck to the ground "Oh, uh sorry miss." The male stuttered, his breath and coat smelling of thick herbs. Nika had to cough to clear her mind, but began her defensive mode once her mind was settled. "Oh come on, we just- What is your purpose here?" She sighed heavily as the hunting party surrounded the tall, handsome male. "I saw your pack pass through not long ago, you see new in the woods, unaware of it's inhabitants. I myself on the other hand know the forest like the patterns on my paw pads, I could help you." She could tell the male was trying to save his life, but yet he didn't stutter like the ones in the past had, he stood strong and proud. He showed strength. Something Leathal needed desperately. "Fine, but you must behave and follow all of the rules, you can help Matya also, you two should get along well..." Her voice trailed off before she looked at Matya, expecting some kind of dislike in the idea.

Matya however, felt some sort of connection to the confident male. He, unlike the Leathal pack, didn't mention turning her into a chew toy, a fact she appreciated. She could predict the would get along fairly well, and he could possibly help her with her own confidence. She gave a small nod of acceptance in the Alpha's direction.

How many dogs are going to be welcomed today? Roki wondered.

[Okay, I had originally had written a very long and pretty decent post but accidently deleted it, so this one is kind of fueled by only my writers block if thats even possibale, sorry D:]


Nika looked back at Matya and Xavier, but not the way she would normally look at a packmate, she had a slight soft spot for the two. They owned a charm that not many of her pack members possesed, was it knowledge perhaps? No, her pack was pretty bright, they had learned how to hunt so quickly, they were smarter than most of the dogs shehad run in to. But her mind was redirected to the hunt once the smell of the elk herd hit her. "Roki and I will get the bull, you two corral the back, you get the side, and you two get the other side, then you can all help bring down two or three more." The pack seemed to agree with her idea so went off to their positions. "Uh...and you two. I want you two to hunt with us, the pack needs food." Xavier nodded in agreement "Matya, you can watch if you don't know how to, but then join in by the time the pack corrals the herd." Nika nodded to herself before looking over at Roki "You ready Roki?" She asked, a smile growing on her face. She had missed be able to just hang out with her friends like she used to, but she was a Alphess now.

Rowan looked over at Nisha "The pack members are beginning to not have trust in Nika, I'm worried they will rebel." He sighed heavily "She is only doing her best, the poor thing was only named as Alphess not long ago, and now she has to move the whole pack into a new place and teach them how to survive while teaching herself. They are expecting far to much from her." He looked up at Nisha, worry in his eyes.

Xavier smiled kindly at Nika, then looked at Matya "I'm off to hunt, if you don't know how you can watch me I suppose." He shrugged before running off with one of the pack members, his eyes targeting a cow Elk. He disscussed the hunting plan with his new packmate, explaining how they would approach and attack her. She nodded in agreement as they herded the herd in a away from any openings where they could escape from. Once that was done Xavier went to work. Sasha circled the cow to keep her in place as Xavier lunged at her neck, puncturing it a good six times. Sasha bit her heels to slow her down, and soon enough the cow was down and dead.
