She ran faster, brambles tugging at her fur as she ran trough a patch of them. She ignored him fro now, back tracking and weaving, trying to throw hem off her trail. Aftre a bit, she reached a small hollow at the base of a tree, big enough for aorund three wolves. It was perfect for now. "Come on," she muttered threw a mouthful of Dust, the scrambled inside. She dropped Dust on the ground, panting slightly from the extra exertion. "We can save him later, they will still be with him, doing who knows what," she didn't know wha they did with other humans, she just hopewd it wasn't to bad. She was beginning to like him too.

Dust looked back at the town and said "I hope he's ok."

Mike was laying on the edge of town beaten and bruised.

She nuzzled him in an attempt to comfort him. 'I do too," she said softly.

Dusk began to whine, but stopped as he smelled Mike. He ran to Mike and barked y.

Mike's head slowly went to see Dusk and he smiled. Than his head quickly went down.

Remy ran after him, at first not understanding why he ha dleft, then smelling Mike's familiar scent filetr through the trees. She padded slowly after him, her paws bleeding and aching from the bramble patchshe ahd ran through, leaving a small trail of blood behind her. "Mike!" she barked ahppily, although she knew he couldn't understand her. She started to run, wind whistling through her fur. She skidded to a stop as she neared him. "Is he ok?" she asked Dust. The human was alying on the ground, still. She could still see his breath, and how it let little clouds of steam into the cold autumn air, but he was still still.

Mike slowly got to his knees and petted the Hybrids.

"What about his girlfriend?" Dusk asked.

Dusk looked at Remy.

Mike smiled and said "Hey guys, am I glad to see you."

Theresa heard a knock on the door, and got up, moving to go see who it was. As she was about to go open it, it burst open, followed by the men who had gotten Mike earlier. 'What are you-" she began, but the broke off as one of them moved toward her. "You are under arrest," the man said in a deep gruff vioce. "What for?" Theresa demaned, taking a step back. 'For knowing a....Mike," he said. THeresa blinked surprised. Her mouth opened but no sound came out. What could Mike have done? As she stood there, shocked by the intrusion, one of them slapped handcuffs on her. She pulled away from him, adrenaline coursing through her veins. "Let me go!" she demanded, her green eyes flashing angrily. "What did Mike do?!" "That is none of your business," a crisp officer replied smoothly. THey took her to a holding room. Theresa struggled, wondering what Mike could have done, and how she could hae been possibly involved.

Dusk nodded and said "Yep."

Mike thinking of Theresa rose to his feet and said "Let's go." He began to walk into town.

Dusk followed.

Remy's paws were still bleeding, and leaving behind a bigger trail than before, but she followed.

Theresa leaned against a wall, closing her eyes. What the heck ahd happened? And she still hadn't gotten a clear answer of why she was here.

Mike lead them into town and into an alley. "She's probly in that bluding." He said pointing across the to one across the street.

Dusk smiled and began to crawl.

Mke followed quietly trying not to be seen.

Mike looked back at them and nodded. He slowly entered the building and said "Theresa?"

Remy sta down, trying to rest her cut paws, which were bleeding more than ever.

THeresa dimly heard Mike's voice. "Mike!" she cried out, trying to push off the wall. Not easy with cuffed hands.
