THE NEXT DAY

Nighstar awoke, blinking as bright light streamed into the Apprentices' Den and filtered through her eyelids. "Silversnow, wake up. It's a new day! Let's go stretch our paws." She padded out of the den, not even looking back at her friend. She knew without a doubt that Silversnow would follow.

Silversnow shook herself awake, and followed Nightstsar out, yawning. She shook her pelt, and streched. She was still tired and groggy from waking up. SHe yawned again, her tongue curling. SHe relaxed, feeling a bot more awake.

ooc- Oh yeah!!!!!

As Nightstar ran around camp, she bumped into Aqua-Amethyst, an older apprentice. Aqua snarled at the younger wolf. "What are you doing here, place stealer?" "What?" Nightstar asked innocently. Aqua's laughter was a maniacal roar. "She asks what!" The larger wolf leaned down, snarling in Nightstar's face. "You see, pup, I am the Chosen One. I know I am, and Eninai knows it too. Or at least she used to. Ever since you where born and showed off you're fancy star-shine, they have been blinded to the true One and are giving you the glory! Giving you my glory!" Nightstar backed off a bit, ears lowered. "I'm sorry," She managed, "But I don't know what you're talking about." Aqua looked outraged. "You do, pup!" She screeched, "YOU KNOW YOU DO!" She brought her paw down with full force. Nightstar felt searing pain score across her muzzle. The young apprentice fell to the ground in shock and agony. She yelped loudly.

SIlversnow stepped up bravely. "Hey!" she said, "You don't do that to my friend!" she said, staring at Aqua defiantly. Aqua looked outraged, then swiped at SIlversnow. Silversnow saw the paw coming and closed her eyes instinctively, then felt a burning pain swipe her eye, leaving a bloodied scratch. Silversnow fell back, her ears laid low. She whimpered pathetically, shocked and slightly angry, but also afraid.

Aqua's ears twitched. Realizing that some of the adults where on their way, she fled the scene. "Nighstar!" Starmagna gasped. "Oh, no...and Silversnow! What happend?" Her faced was blazed with panic. She didn't wait for the pup's reply. "Quick, come with me. We need to get you to Boulder as soon as possible!" She helped the pups into the Healer's den.

Silversnow sat on the floor beside her friend. She lokoed around, and glad to see no Aqua, she cried, "Aqua Amythest did it!" She laid her ears back, looking around again to make sure that she wasn't listening and was about to hurt her again. "She called Nightstar a place stealer, and while we were confused, 'cause it didn't make sense, she scratched Nightstar. I protacted her, then she scrtched me oo!" she belted out quickly, whimpered as blood bripped down her face.

"Calm down," Boulder soothed. "I have a remedy. You'll both be fine. Now lie down." Nightstar did as she was told. "Eat these, it will numb the pain and make you sleepy." He pushed some small, round seeds over to the pups. Again, Nightstar obeyed. The Healer was right, they where making her sleepy. She slept and did not even notice as Boulder applied the remedy to her muzzle.

Silversnow lapped up the seeds, feeling sleepy and tired. She laid down, yawning a bit. She fell asleep beside her white friend, curled up in a ball.

Nightstar woke up later that day. Jolting awake, she prodded her friend. "Silversnow? Hey Silversnow, are you awake?"

"Uh huh," she said groggily, sitting up. She saw the scratch on Nightstar's nose, and the memories from yesterday came flooding back. "Nightsatr! Your nose has a scratch!" she said.

"Yeah...you have one on your eye," Nightstar retorted.

ooc--Here it comes....!

ooc- Yes!!!!!

Silversnow put a paw up to her eye and gasped. 'Oh no, what if I'm.......UGLY???!!!!!" she cried, collapsing abckwards.

ooc--ROFL finally!

Nightstar suppressed a snicker. "No you're not. Actually, it makes you look kinda cool, like a real experienced Fighter."

ooc- YAY!!!!!

SIlversnow staggered around the cave, holding a pawto her eye. "Don't look at me," she moaned. "I'm UGLY!!!!" she said. "Your eyes might burn up," she sat down, still covering her eyes.

"Silversnow, you look fine." Nightstar insisted. "Chillax. I betcha David will think it looks awesome!" She stared at her friend knowingly.
