Rayni managed to raise his head. The sight af Rayni in front of him raised a fresh anger, It boiled and seemed to fill every muscle of his body with a startling power. He growled at the bear and no other thought Mattered to him. In the past yeare he'd lost everythoing important to him, But he wasnt going to let the bear get away with this...Not without a fight. He crouched themn grabbed the bears throat, tearing into the windpipe, He could feel his body being slammed into the wall. He heard a sickening crac coming from somewhere in his leg, But it didnt matter to him. he didnt let go until he felt the bears oulse stop. He managed to limp over to Rayni "Rayni" he whispered hoarsly. He lay next to her weakly "I-I just wanted to say that-" he sobbed, letting tears spill down his cheeks "I just wanted to say that I love you"

(oops just pretend ebonydragged her outta the cave, mmkay?)

Darkness. That's all there was. And one small light. "Where am I?" rayni couldn't remember anything. Curiosity took control of her body, and ahe ventured towarda the light.
"Rayni..." The familiar voice seemed to echo. She cowered in suprise. "I love you..."
Her eyes widened in realization of who's voice it was, and where she was. Light flooded over her. "No!" she cried, thinking ahe was dead. But the light was actually from the moon. Ebony laid beside her, tears flooding his cheeks. "E-ebony?"

EBony barely allowed hiself to Hope it Was TRayni "R-rayni?" he said looking at her. He smiled weakly and nuzzled her in a sudden flash of emotion "I thought I lost you" he said. His heart was bursting with words, Things he wantedd to tell her. But that would have to wait, For now.

She smiled weakly. "Yeah, so did I..." Rayni leaned into him. When she back away, she noticed the tips of his fur was red, and realized with rising horror that she was still gushing blood.

Ebony stepped back ad stared at her wpound uselessly. He looked franticcly at Rayni for instructions.

"Ummm... Cobwebs!!! Lots if them! And... A little comfrey, a little marigold, a little thyme, a little poppy flower, and lots and lots ofgoldenrod." taking care of shadow when he was young was really paying off

£One step ahead of you" Said shadow dragging in a large leaf holding all Rayni had asked for.

Rayni smiled softly. "Thanks, Shad." She hadn't used that nickname since they were pups. It felt good to say it again. "Alright, here's what I need you to do. Squeeze the juice from the comfrey leaves onto the cut. Hold me down, it burns and I might try to get away. Now both of you eat the thyme. It helps calm nerves. Ummm the marigold petals. Squeeze the juice onto the cut aswell. It'll keep it from getting infected. Then chew up the golden rod into a poultice and spread that all over. After that cover it with cobwebs to atop bleeding. Then give me the poppy seeds. They'll help me go to sleep."

Shadow and Ebony hurried to do as Rayni asked. When they finished Ebont lay next to her.

Shadow looked at him resentfully.

"Thanks..." rayni leaned against Ebony and yawned. The poppy seeds were finally kicking in. She felt a bit drowsy, and soon enough her eyes drooped closed.

Shadow shuffled his paws as a mix of feelings set in. On one hand he was happy for Rayni to get someone she loved and the other he was jealous of EBony for being so close to her.

Rayni had a pleasant dream. She was chasing an orange butterfly through a brightly lit meadow, when all of the sudden Ebony tackled her to the ground covering her with licks filled with love. Rayni giggled, and soon the sun started to set. She rested her head on his shoulder, and they watched it melt behind the hills.

Shadow stood up suddenly "The pack will wonder where I am" he said shortly.

Abony merely nodded.

Rayni woke to the sound of their voices. She was only half-awake though. "Shadow..." She mumbled, barely audible.

Shadow looked down at Rayni "Yes?"
